So have we figured out yet that this is yet another tempest in a teapot? Cute collage girl dances, later is elected to congress, BFD. The outrage is contrived, the reasoning is absurd, the result is nothing. My hunch is that some news organization came up with the whole thing to generate some clicks.
Now we have idiots following her around commenting on her wardrobe. Why not just leave the woman alone and let her do what she was elected to do? None of this petty shit is worth reporting. Find the asshole who started the story and tar and feather him, that would be a story worth reporting.

Just as much the point of this thread shows Republicans irrational obsession with AOC is to show the so called TDS is not derangement but is legitimate as opposed to AOCDS when she hasn't even done anything yet.

I try not to comment on the appearances of politicians but I will make an exception here: Holy hell is she ever smoking hot in this video.

Relevant as it's one of the main reasons conservatives go so crazy over her.

She's not the only one with these ideas, yet she's constantly singled out vs some of the other young POC women that won this year.

Why? She's hot AF, she plays the publicity game very well, and they are jelly as hell.

I'm sure the Fox news execs are nervous their old white guy viewers may stop looking at their blond leggy eye candy during their FNS rage affirmation sessions and may start to listen to her, her ideas, and question their world views.

That was one of the things that led me to blast the people who claim the American right isn't freaking out. In their world, she's simultaneously too poor to be in Congress (as if you needed to be wealthy to enter) and too rich to be a champion of the working class (how dare she wear nice clothes at any point!).

Of course, their issue isn't really her economic status, it's that she's the scariest thing in the world to modern American conservatives: a non-white woman who vehemently opposes favoritism for the rich.

It's a strange classist argument isn't it?

Only the poor can advocate for the poor?

Wealthy people can't, and seem to have no responsibility to do so?

I'm still of the opinion that all of the AOC hype is created and promoted by the media. Yes, she has some grand ideas, but she's a freshmen congressmen with one vote. I don't see the congressional democrats rallying around her to promote her agenda. I do think she'll do well in the long term, but she's a hell of a long way from being a force to be reckoned with.

She is a younger more agile versatile version of Bernie, add charisma, looks and momentum. Oh yea, and dance moves. Id be very surprised if she does not turn out to be a "force" .. I can see why Fox is panicking over her. Hell I can see Vlad panicking over her.

Not just grand ideas but good for America ideas-

We let the financial elite have their way with us since Reagan. You know, the greediest people in the solar system. It's starting to show rather badly. America is looking a bit tawdry because of it, at best.

They were good ideas when Bernie Sanders proposed them, and were it not for him, candidates like AOC wouldn’t even be in play.

So because I talk about all the shitty things Trump does vs making up nothing that makes me have TDS? I guess we should all shut up and let his lunacy and hatred continue.
No one is asking you to shut up.

Whatever dude. Nothing I can say that will convince you continuing the criticism of this asshole is not derangement. Being black and having a racist as POTUS makes me a little sensitive.
Then by all means keep posting.

Makes you wonder what the ratio of daily panty shots is going to do now. Fox made a concerted effort to reduce that strange and constant event after getting ridiculed over it years ago, but man do they reek of fear and desperation right now...

The right wing media including Fox News, Trump and the Republicans. They want an enemy of America and chose her. Meanwhile the real enemy lives sometimes at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

I agree there does seem to be a derangement over AOC. David Hogg held a similar place in the heads of the right but he’s disappeared for now. Doesn’t hold a candle to TDS though, only person who has ever come close to so fully occupying people’s very being was Barry.

AOC gets ridicule because she wants to change the US in to a hard core socialist nation. That doesn't make her an enemy, it makes her a cute kid with stars in her eyes. She went off to collage and learned how great life could be if we just allowed a kind and benevolent government to take care of us. She isn't a visionary, she doesn't have bold new ideas or a new and insightful method of governing. It's all socialism 101. It's all the same stuff Bernie was pushing, though none of it stopped him from becoming a millionaire.
I stand by my words, it's all media hype, it's the Kardashians in congress. Fluff and contrived drama designed to generate viewers and clicks.

So I ask you, what's left for the middle class after nearly 40 years of successful top down class warfare other than greater socialism, something we actually had in the form of the post-WW2 New Deal? How else will the lower 75% of families regain the benefits of the share of national income lost to the financial elite?

Tax cuts for the Rich & benefit cuts for the people obviously won't accomplish that no matter how much derision & disinformation the GOP slings at us. If we want more out of the so-called Job Creators we'll have to take it in the form of taxes & regulation. Well, unless you have some honest alternative to offer. Have at it.

It's not derangement when there are legitimate reasons.
