This is bullshit. Red ink has always been "teacher's writing" and not a particular mark - if they associate red ink with failure, maybe they should have done better in school. 😛

- M4H

these parents should be taking the xbox and computer out of the kid's room instead of whining about the red marks all over his failing paper.

i'm not sure being fat makes you get bad grades, but we can surely try that too i guess.

Jamie Oliver (celebrity British chef) was recently involved in Jamie's School Dinners, a program about changing the dietary habits of British schoolkids. After a few weeks or so of forcing a change from burgers & chips to healthy, nutricious food, the kids were quieter, more responsive, and better behaved.

Conclusive proof - excessive junk food is evil.

This WILL happen.

This mindset is already in action in California where some towns banned playing "tag" on playgrounds since it "creates self-esteem issues among weaker and slower children".

Instead of having ?answers? on a math test, they should just call them ?impressions,? and if you got a different ?impression,? so what, can?t we just be brothers?

Wish he did it 5-7 years ago, I would have killed for a Chicken Curry instead of burger and chips.

I can't wait till my kid gets into school. I'm gonna be all over the teachers and schoolboard. I'll stand up in a room and in my Loud and Proud manner proclaim,
"The more you try to make our kids into pussies, the worse they are going to do in school and life. Maybe in your world everyone is a winner, but when they get in to the job market of the real world there are 2 types of people. Winners and loosers. The school system is churning out loosers faster than parents can make them.
If my kid makes a failing grade, everyone in the class should know. There should be a big f'ing red F on her paper to remind her that she failed and she needs to try harder next time. Not be told, oh, you tried your best. It's ok, everyone still loves you. blah blah blah."

You do know that some day, not to distant from today, we won't be allowed to use black ink because it is offensive to some African-American (who has never been to Africa, whole different tangent here).

They need to figure out the reason that a lot of Asian countries schools are kicking are asses is because they run their schools the way we did just 20 years ago. You get out of line, you get paddled. You fail, you get mocked and ridiculed. You have to have motivation to become better at something, and realistically, negative motivation is better than positive.

They abolished dodgeball because it offended all the losers who had no athleticism...why not?

Course we had a 2 pump limit after these pansies who complained to parents after loosing a bridge.

Awesome.

I got hit over the head numerous times by one of my teachers in boarding school, and if you were doing really badly you were forced to standup infront of the other 400/500 students in the middle of assembly, to be told how badly you were doing.

I bought an approximately 10 year supply of red pens at WalMart on the clearance rack... that's assuming I use 1 a week.
10 cents a pack for 10 packs of pens... I only wish I had more money or a debit card in my pocket... then I'd have had a 50 year supply.

You. Fvking. Rock.

And that carrot sticks laced with a mild sedative makes childcare easier on everyone.
