"The more you try to make our kids into pussies, the worse they are going to do in school and life. You do know that some day, not to distant from today, we won't be allowed to use black ink because it is offensive to some African-American (who has never been to Africa, whole different tangent here).

They need to figure out the reason that a lot of Asian countries schools are kicking are asses is because they run their schools the way we did just 20 years ago. You get out of line, you get paddled. You fail, you get mocked and ridiculed. You have to have motivation to become better at something, and realistically, negative motivation is better than positive.

I got hit over the head numerous times by one of my teachers in boarding school, and if you were doing really badly you were forced to standup infront of the other 400/500 students in the middle of assembly, to be told how badly you were doing.
