Which is why they're not accredited. And which is why some people that I know who graduated from BJU or PCC in the not-so-distant past don't know jack about computers.

What Not to Bring
Posters of movie and music stars and fashion models are not permitted. The subjects of personal photos should exhibit the modesty and appropriate physical contact we expect from our students.
Music must be compatible with the University's music standards:
New Age, jazz, rock, and country music is not permitted.
Contemporary Christian music is not permitted (e.g., Michael W. Smith, Stephen Curtis Chapman, WOW Worship, and so forth).
Televisions and DVD/videocassette players are not permitted in the residence halls; computer DVD players may not be used to view movies.
You may not possess or play computer and video games rated T, M, or A or having elements of blood and gore, sensual or demonic themes, or featuring suggestive dress, bad language, or rock music.
Due to space considerations, appliances such as mini refrigerators and microwaves are not permitted in residence hall rooms. A refrigerator for medical-related needs and microwaves are provided in each residence hall.
Residence hall students may not watch videos above a G rating when visiting homes in town and may not attend movie theaters.
All weapons must be turned in for storage. Trigger locks are required for pistols. Fireworks are not permitted on campus.

Doesn't bother me. What matters is....are the girls there hot? That's what really matters...

sounds like a college my girlfriend almost went to. Music is not allowed, nor are movies, cars or anything else like that. I have absolutely no idea why she even wanted to go there.

Would anyone actually hire someone that graduated from Bob Jones U?

They don't appear to be accredited, so my guess would be no. And I'm sure that doesn't matter to those who choose to attend this...institution (I hesitate to label it a university).

From what I hear, Pensacola in Florida is similar or worse. Why ANYONE would want to go to one of those places is beyond me.

Pensacola Christian College (PCC) doesn't appear to be that bad. I work at one of the other universities in Pensacola and my interactions with PCC staff and students have been quite pleasant. I'm sure they recognize that their campus is quite different from other campuses but that difference is by design. It's also pretty funny to ask them questions about right-wing Christians and their actions and beliefs. PCC has a pretty solid reputation as being "way out there" on the far right and when *they* think you're crazy - you're got real problems.

You know that if the owner of a business was a freaked out born-again he'd love to hire a BJU grad....

I think it's called Word of Life or something like that.

I would seriously rather kill myself than be there... even if it was for one minute. Everyone is probably so uptight there that they'd get pissed at you for wearing a pair of Oakley's.

wow, I'd like to see any college actually try to push one of these regulations on me and watch me spit scotch in their face 🙂

Ummm... you're an idiot. No one forces people to go to Bob Jones, they accept the regulations when they go. If for some reason you went there and you would not let them "push" their regulations on you, they'd have no problem with showing you the door.

Bob Jones and Pensacola are about the two most conservative colleges out there, and they make all Christians look bad.
