The Order 1886

i was pretty excited for this game the first time they showed it, but the last e3 demo they showed (i think it was e3), the game looked clunky to me and the gameplay looked very "meh". it was that gameplay where they were like fighting in a kitchen or something. it just looked so bland and not overly exciting. nothing unique or different.

before i saw that clip, i was planning on purchasing it. after i saw that i kinda lost interest in general.
 
The videos I've seen so far looked alright. I didn't think it was clunky, it reminds me of gears of war which I'll be getting whenever that comes to x1.

From what I've seen around the internet, its suppose to be about 12-15 hours long. I wouldn't be paying for it anyway since my birthday is two days before the release date so I would be getting it as a gift but still may want to see reviews.
 
I too was super excited when we began hearing about this game. Now that I have seen a couple of hands-on videos, not so much.
 
It does look generic though, but after all its a shooter. Not sure if we were expecting something like uncharted with old weapons style gunplay.
 
I currently still plan on getting it, but going to wait a bit more for user reviews. I don't have a PS4 yet but was hoping this would push me into buying one.

I like the setting though.
 
Going to sit on this one and see what happens. Was planning to buy, still have a pre-order but will quickly take my $5 back if it's not worth $60 to me.
 
The story and setting seem interesting. I just don't know what else it offers, doesn't look like much but it is interesting even so. If I was paying for it I would probably wait and see anyways.

Most people seem sold on the atmosphere/acting but the gameplay is in question. Hopefully it turns out well but like most others I'm going to wait for the reviews.

The atmosphere and the graphics I agree are good but i also read that it has quite a lot of qte events. If I don't get it as a gift it comes out on a Friday so waiting for reviews will be easy because its not in the middle of the week. I don't care about multiplayer but I hope its long enough to justify it.

From what I have been reading, qte events occur when you go up to enemies to stealth kill or knock them down once they have been shot, etc. Other times they occur when you are working with your partner.

I have it on pre-order for now. Don't really have anything play since PS4/XB1 games aren't coming out fast enough to keep my stocked 🙂

Wow you must play a ton. I have a decent backlog of games, especially because of the sales from Black Friday.
 
The only console game I have played in months is destiny. I will at some point go finish the halo games and try to complete more forza horizon 2
 
I have a ton of ps4 games to play but I couldn't get past the one part in dragon age in the beginning area still, been playing dying light so I just play whatever I get sparingly. Looks like with the order you should be able to get through it without issues.

Lol your heart shall burn part. I had to load a previous save and I'm level 10 I believe but I suck at party management although they all have decent armor and weapons. I just got to the last part of the trebuchet and had zero health even when the stash filled the potions up they would all get surrounded and die as I was trying to wind up that lever.
