That's a pretty funny video but I feel sorry for the people making the games who really do have to deal with corporate suits who may not even play the games at all and push for hitting a target release date.

I really don't know how bad it will be but so far I haven't read many positive things about it from those who have played it, except that it looks good visually.

Maybe we will have some reviews tomorrow. I was excited for it but all the hype and impressions have me mehhh about it aside from visuals. If I was paying for it myself I can't say I'd want to pay full price and I'm usually set on weather to buy a game or not from all I find out before it releases.

Pretty much the entire entertainment industry today. Creative decisions are made by MBAs and focus groups, not by people who understand the process. It's just a lot more noticeable in video games, because it's pretty hard to put out a half finished movie. 😛

At least the game doesn't appear to be broken, unlike like some recent releases.

So far it's averaged a 63 on metacritic, mostly international sites reviewed it so far. Pretty much what I guessed it would receive. Game informer gave it a 78 I believe. Will have to wait for some more reviews and read them at lunch time.

IGN gave it a 6.5. Loved the atmosphere, visuals, and concept. Hated slow pacing and overuse of quick time events.

GameSpot gave it a 5/10, calling it mediocre. Praised the atmosphere and cool weapons. Hated boring storytelling, drab gameplay, and "too little cool stuff".

Destructoid gave it 6/10, saying it had a sleek presentation but offered little else outside of that. They also criticized the excessive use of QTE combat.

Most of the reviews I skimmed through say it takes about 7 hours to complete on normal difficulty.

Yea doesn't look like anything special, probably worth to experience the story so I'd say rental just for that. I'll be trading it in as soon as I'm done.

I was happy buying the PS4, just to play The Order 1886...
But, somehow i had a feeling this game is going to disappoint me somehow...
I didn't pre-order it right away, wanted to wait for Reviews first, and HERE we go... 🙁

Keep the system bloodborne looks good next month. I'll probably play the order on hardest difficulty and try to make it last me until we get more info on bloodborne. I just hope that game also doesn't disappoint, but it doesn't look like it has any info on its story.

I've been playing dying light and GTA v on my ps4 but in terms of these new games we need to wait even longer before something great comes out.

Ars "slammed" the game as well. Disappointing that the only games that I play on the PS4 are Resogun and Super Stardust Ultra. It's even more disappointing if you consider that the latter is just a remake of Super Stardust HD from the PS3 (with some game modes taken from the Vita version, Super Stardust Delta). 😛

Hype, hype, HYPE! ... mediocre game. All it's doing is making gamers jaded. This is why I won't pre-order anything. I'll probably play this game at some point but no way am I paying $70 for it.

I'm starting to think Game Access might be worth the $18/mo, since there's nowhere else to rent anymore.

This generation has been pretty disappointing so far. Lot of big budget studios putting out a lot of lackluster games lately. Ironically, all the best games right now seem to be on Wii U. 😀

Well hopefully they learn and people complain by not accepting it or at least by the mediocre reviews. I'm really tired of games that are hyped up to the point of no return. Dying light didnt seem to be hyped as much and im glad I bought it, great game.

I guess they can't do graphics like these with good gameplay, it seems to be one or the other at least for now.

The problem is when stores add extra goodies in with a pre-order, but that makes me wonder if we can push back on this crap. What if people pre-ordered from a physical store, and if the game sucked, they cancelled the pre-order. You are out nothing more than your time, but Gamestop/Target/Best Buy/etc. is now forced to deal with excess merchandise. Stores do not like excess merchandise, and if they run into problems, they'll either (a) start penalizing people for cancelling pre-orders (b) stop trying to push people into pre-ordering games.

To note, this doesn't really work with Amazon as they'll typically ship the game ahead of reviews, and you pay for return shipping if you don't want the item.

Rail shooter.. cancel your orders quick $10 game at best

It's disappointing but not unexpected if you've been following the previews. The only surprising thing is the length which is about half of what a game like this should be. If the reviews were average (7 or 8's) I probably would've picked this up once it hit $20 but with only 7 hours I'll probably skip it completely.
