Wow. I just finished the book, stayed up all night. Amazing book, by far my favorite in the series.
My favorite chapter is the Prince's Tale
Wow. Extraordinary end to an extraordinary series
Yep - I loved it, that was also my favourite chapter. Amazing how much was crammed into the book as a whole but that one chapter was incredible.
I know you as the rest of us were all anxious to see what happens at the end (?)
I can understand why you want to buy it as soon as it comes out, but I don't see why suffer and read like crazy when you can take your time, read it carefully, enjoy each chapter of this fine story.
I mean if you had the LAST bottle of a very fine expensive whine series you wouldn't just gulp the whole thing down at once, now would you?
Anyway, it was good to hear you liked it, I'm looking forward to reading it myself.

Reading it quickly doesn't mean you can't enjoy and savour it. Once I'd started it on the Saturday morning I couldn't put it down. I wouldn't call that suffering.

I wish i'd have taken longer to read it but i just couldn't stop once i got going.
The biggest dissapointment to me was how short the denouement was. It was like BAM big battle, then done. I wanted to see a bit more. Maybe not quite Return of the King protracted ending, but this felt rushed.

The whole book felt kinda rushed to me. It was still a great book, though. I'm curious to see what JKR will come out with next (she'll have to either go a completely different route or top HP).
Then again, she could just say, "Screw you, world," and live off of her riches.

Hopefully, she won't come out with anything else, because people will always compare her new works with HP.

Well someone says "you bitch" in the last 700 pages. Never in the whole series has anyone said anything more derogatory than "arse" haha

It's kind of funny, did you peeps ever notice that every book in the Harry Potter series starts out normal, but then, *bam*, at some point in each book, you just can't stop reading? At least that's the way it is for me.

Correct. I found it odd that a few characters used the word "effing" also.

Absolutely. At around page 500, I couldn't put the book down, and read it straight to the end. I was a little disappointed at the beginning, up to around page 300, but then BAM, Rowling did it again.

finished reading in 2 days. it was so-so. Kinda disappointed. I think too many things trying to converge at the end, i felt was too much to keep track of. I would give the book a grade of C+.

He's not. I was shocked when I read it, too. But then it all made sense.

it is not true, there are no spoilers in this thread, and I would hope people could also stop from posting fake spoilers also.
