I have to admit I only play the multiplayer on FPS and usually only the COD incarnations. I started the campaign on COD:4 but never finished and since then I've just avoided the campaigns.

I personally liked cod 1 and 4 sp campaigns. I also liked bf3 better than bf4 sp. If they won't focus on sp then I hope there will be multiple game modes to choose from. 12 maps is great and I don't think battlefield 2142 had sp either.

I'm not sure I'll buy it full price for the pc, the lack of a pc community after a while makes me want to wait for a price drop.

I'm anxiously waiting a new fallout game. When that comes out I'll sink a shit load of time into it. I loved that series and a next gen version could be amazing if done right

Ugh. Don't make me spend more vacation time. Already blew 3 weeks on Xenoblade Chronicles!

I wish I could take off to enjoy games. I eventually will take one day or so if I dont use my vacation before it's due. Hopefully I'll have something interesting to put time into by then.

I'm waiting for Microsoft to send me the XBOX One code for it. They gave me a Windows 8 one, but I gave up on that OS. :p Microsoft said they'd give out X1 codes too. I'm really tempted to try it though!

You use the PC code.

hit "redeem beta key"

It should then be available on the X1 store.

Most FPS single players get the complaint about them just being "tacked on" and are generally viewed as awful.

Them not wasting resources on it and (hopefully) putting it towards the multiplayer is a much better investment IMO. The game is launching with a ton of maps (12!) that are all balanced around 6v6 (unlike in other games where certain maps are only available for certain player counts).

There are 15 maps, not 12. :)

Also, the team that made Titanfall was only a third of what other AAA shooters have. Campaign is built-in to multiplayer mode. Basically, you can choose to play MP like normal, just match-to-match, or you can choose a side and play MP with some dialog and story. From what I've seen, the campaign is short for both sides (short as in a few matches) and I believe is required to unlock the other two titans for use (somebody correct me if I'm wrong on that).

March Update and Twitch are out

Release notes here.

The Twitch app is already out but does not have broadcasting enabled yet. The app will be updated next Tuesday with it. Right now, you can say "Xbox, broadcast" and it will open the Twitch app but you can't do anything but view streams. Until next Tuesday, it's the same Twitch app we've had since launch.

I'd rather have no single player on games like CoD and Battlefield. Why waste the resources on that? Just focus on great MP.

I wish marvel and capcom would make MVC4, I'm pretty played out of MVC2 & UMVC3 but I crave a new one with more characters. Also bring megaman back like wtf

Project Spark is so much fun :)

I started d/l last night, but went on to play some D3 and Dota. What's it like? I hear you can animate your own characters using kinect n stuff. Sounds interesting, and it's free.

Anyhow, here's what MS needs to do for Kinect. Hire the studio that make those games like Heavy Rain and Beyond 2 Souls. Those interactive movie type games, with a major focus on story would work well with Kinect I think.

I had the most fun with the "create your own adventure" type mode. It was a lot of fun, my ranger hero's home town's magic tree was destroyed, and the only way to rebuild was to go on an adventure and find the magic apple. During my travels I ran into goblins, bandits, a meteor crashed down and revealed a special sword, etc. It felt Fable-ish in a fun way, not hardcore or anything, but very enjoyable.

Someone in the gallery has created a tetris clone that I am ashamed to say I played for about 45 minutes as well.

As much as I am a proponent of the technology, I really think games which focus entirely on the Kinect as a controller (minus exercise/dance games) are a misuse of it. Simple things like calling out to zombies in Dead Rising, leaning in Battlefield, and looking around corners in Forza are the most interesting uses to me. I think it would be cool to see some horror games which make use of the heart rate tracker and takes advantage of situations where the player may be relaxed or caught off guard.

Titanfall Getting Season Pass, Mix of Paid and Free DLC

Respawn founder Vince Zampella said:
"We plan to do DLC to support the game. We’re going to do paid DLC. We’re also going to do free updates," he said. "We’re going to add in – there’s things that we want in the game that we didn’t get to ship in the final game, so we’ll add private matches and things like that for free. We’re going to do a season pass just because if you buy it up front, you get a deal. We’re not doing micro-transactions. So, you know, a season pass is just, buy it up front and get a better price.”

Ok, I'm in. Take my money... Now.

Yep, and now they're already talking about the next one with better notifications and some hints at external hdd support. I wish they released this rapidly on Windows Phone.

oh snap that was the actual real update? i thought that was another update to the beta program. i opted out of the beta program though. it was annoying when i had some friends who wanted to play KI and i couldn't party up with them.

i am so glad now though that they fixed such basic shit with the party/invite system. i shouldn't get excited about these basic features but the following features are welcomed.

- invite to game only without having to party up
- party voice chat on by default

such basic shit that should have have been overlooked, but definitely glad it's in there now

Sounds cool. Gonna test it out after work today.
