Is this season pass for pc too? Was thinking about this game but I'm not sure how valuable it will be on pc for me.

No idea if it will have it on the pc, but it is coming with 15 maps and a bunch of game modes, so I am thinking you will have plenty to do on it if you decide not to get the dlc.

I am confident that it will also be available on the PC. I like that some of the add-ons will be free though. Stuff they couldn't get in there prior to the cut off date.

I think so too. It's out next week so I have to decide if I want it. I'm thinking about learning to play the witcher on pc too to hold me over until infamous comes out.

IGN just posted that Guacamelee is coming to the Xbox One. I enjoyed it on the ps3, but the controller at times seem to get in the way of the brilliance of that game. I will be picking it up for sure on the one when it comes out.

I read an article on Euro gamer that the final game modes for titanfall are attrition, capture the flag, domination, last titan standing , and pilot hunter where you dont use mechs.

I figured they would have more modes. I guess with more substance where you have different objectives.

A day later, this page was taken down, and MS said it was a mistake. I thought they just accidentally posted it too early, and the pre-load option would return about a week before release.

But it hasn't, and I'm not sure it's going to. This makes me a little sad. :(

What retaillers will have late hours for the release? Is it typically just Gamestop if anyone?

How many maps will they have for each mode?

There are a total of 15 maps according to other reports and users here. I'm assuming the way the game is designed, since you always have mechs, the same maps for domination can be used for capture the flag. The ones that are for attrition would most likely be available for pilot hunter too.

If its 15 maps total then it looks like 3 maps per game mode.

All I saw was the quoted part of the article. Did they announce anything worth paying for anyway? I just saw them say that private matches would be free, but those are usually shipped with CoD and Halo and everything else, so I suppose the question is just a matter of whether or not any of the free content is stuff that isn't just unfinished stuff other games already give you at release.

I thought the article said those are the modes they know about.

Over in hard forum they linked the article. I couldn't get it on my work pc to link it. They also had some leaked screenshots.

Either way, I don't think it is a problem. It looks like you have all the different types of modes covered. There are plenty of online games that have a ton of modes, yet the numbers in most of them are tiny because people stick with the 3-4 main modes.

Yea that is usually the case. Hopefully the maps are evenly spread between each mode since there are a lot of them.

Attrition (TDM), Pilot hunter, and Last titan standing can all be done on the same set of maps with literally zero changes. Domination as well. CTF is a bit more tricky, as maps asymmetrical maps generally just allow one team to cry the other has an advantage, regardless if they do or not.

Price and such hasn't been announced.

Anybody do the update yet? Just wondering how long it took.

My system updated sometime during the day on its own. I didn't have to do anything.

edit: The controller update has to be started manually (at least for me it did) by going to settings > system > update controller and this process takes about 2 minutes. Do remember you need to have a micro USB cable plugged into the side USB port on the console for the controller update.

Ah, interesting. They did not mention that in the email that I got. It won't do the update to the controllers over WiFi?

LOL, just thinking about that for a minute, I suppose updating the controller over WiFi would not be a good idea. If the battery died during the update, you could brick the controller. :)

The release notes are incorrect then.

Release Date - 03/04/2014

The release notes are worded oddly, they mean that they enabled broadcasting in the OS, it's just that we now have to wait for the Twitch app to update to take advantage.

By the way, for those interested in the Twitch broadcasting features, Major Nelson showed some of the features: http://www.twitch.tv/majornelson/b/508244747

Looks pretty nice. I like that you'll get a notification when a friend starts broadcasting. I also like that you can see live thumbnails of friends who are broadcasting in the activity feed.

I believe it was announced today. There will be 3 DLC packs at $10 each, or the season pass is available for $25 (up for purchase at launch if you feel the need to get in early).

You save 5 bucks if it's a big deal though. I wonder what the dlc may include probably more maps. I don't really care for skins and visual trinkets.
