yeah... incredible lag. First, I would enter a game late.. each and everymatch. Team would cap a already, and be off to start capping b, then I would spawn in. Now, my bullets won't register or there's a crazy delay when it does register. WTF? So, I turned off and played some KI. Couldn't find anyone to play with online, so it might just be timewarner. However, I went to play DOTA on pc and that was fine. Just wondering if others are seeing this after the patch went out.

I had this problem about 10 minutes ago, and restarted my router and everything is fine. I also use TWC

Edit: the lag issue came back before I could finish 2 rounds. I hadn't had this problem until I read this thread, curse you!!! :(

I know MKV is not just for pirates, many people do use it for legit purposes. It is stupid the industry does not support the container. They are losing customers like me who would instantly purchase an Xbox One if they had that feature. Without it I doubt I will ever buy an Xbox One.
Realistically, there's probably like a dozen people in the world who would base their gaming console purchase on whether or not it supports MKV.

ROFL... my issue was with TWC as well. I decided to test with KI again, and lag was an issue there as well. Rebooted my network and all is working. Sorry for curse, lol.

Looks like there is an update coming out 2/11 with a battery life indicator, support for USB keyboards, and a lot of "behind the scenes fixes." There are also rumors of a major update March 4th with significant Xbox Live functionality fixes including better party support.

Arstechnica is reporting that the Kinect voice commands will be significantly improved and may include some sort of learning function.

Microsoft says the February 11 system update will allow for “continuous improvements to the quality of Kinect voice so commands become more fluid and responsive over time.” The company isn’t going into detail on precisely how this will work (simply promising “more information soon”), but the wording suggests that the update will allow the system to learn how to interpret your specific pronunciations as you repeat commands over time.

i wonder how long it will take them to include the most basic feature of all that allows you to auto-sign in without using kinect. you know, just have a preference that says "always auto sign-in with this account" or something. i'd do it for free if they would let me.

This! I keep my kinect unplugged, and having to manually sign in is annoying, especially since there's only 1 account on my Xbone.

Yeah, it is an interesting oversight. I understand why they didn't feel the need to include it when you consider what their expected use case for the device was, but things like that slipped through the crack when they relented on allowing the Kinect to be unplugged. I've got multiple people in my household and it works great for us, but as an individual user or someone who doesn't/can't use kinect, it has got to be annoying.

What way/ways do you mean if you had no way to use it?

Some people have an AV rack in a different room and no way to run the wire, others have a TV set-up which doesn't physically have a space for the Kinect to sit. It happens.

Hate to say sucks to be them, but well sucks to be them. It's impossible to account for every variation people could have and Racked/closeted entertainment centers usually for projector setups is like .5% of the market.

That said they need to eventually add an option for automatic sign in of at least one primary account. I get why it was an oversight, but its a simple enough fix and stops issues like I run into where I start up the xbox and try to get to netflix or Hulu before I have sat down in an area the Kinect picks up.

I am sure they will fix that issue. Like Topweasel said, that segment is a very small sample size, but one thing I have learned is MS seems intent on listening and trying to fix things. That and the fact that they were constantly revising our dashboards last gen leads me to believe that things will smooth out in the near future.

Sucks for them, the Kinect is great

except when you have to either scream at it or it simply doesn't understand what you said even when you repeat it 10 times.

There are a lot of times where it simply doesn't work right. After the first month I only kept it plugged in because of the automatic sign in. I'm tired of having to repeat myself. I could have been done if I just used buttons.

Speaking of the Kinect working, ever since my GF added her profile to the Xbox, it will no longer auto sign in. I have to either tell it to or manually go there with the controller.

Also, the "Xbox <command>" stuff is far less sensitive than the Kinect in games. In Madden, my GF talking in the other room has caused challenges and unwanted time outs. The announcers talking about a run caused an audible to a run once. Same thing happens in DR3.

Have you done the "Kinect Didn't Recognize Me" whenever it doesn't appropriately sign you in? Took mine a few times before it was perfect.

Have you don the Kinect Audio Test? A few others have had similar problems prior to doing the test (or when they moved it and didn't redo the test).

My kinect works great but if they can improve it im all for it. I'm glad the battery indicator will be there since I never know when to charge my controller but here is what I want.

Auto sign is soon as the console boots up. I only have one account on my system and if my room is dark it fails to log me in some times.
Dolby so I can get surround sound from my xp400 headphones
Make the party chat to where you don't have to turn it on once you join a party, I think that shit is extremely stupid. If I don't want to talk I won't join a party.

Newegg has the Xbox one headset adapter listed at $24.99 and shipping Feb 25th. I think I'll just mod the stock headset plug to my xp400 talk back cable and save the money. Time to get out the soldering iron and electrical tape. I'm tired of waiting

Wow $25? I think the small parts in the guide I found to make your own are like a total of $6.
