Shucks, unless the TV integration is really amazing, I think I'll be switching to the Sony camp for this next round. The lower price plus the status quo disc exchange/rental policy are hard to beat. I'll miss the Xbox 360-style controller, though.

I can understand if you are 16, but most of you should be adults and have jobs. $100 isn't really that big of a difference when we are talking about $400-500 purchase. Perhaps I just make too much money. =(

I can get the used game argument, but since I never buy, sell, rent or trade any used games, that is a nonissue for me.

It's not the cost of it, it's the cost of it for what it is. (and of course..all the other dumb BS related to it). That and some of us are just cheap and don't throw our money at everything people throw at us just because we can. 😀 We're no longer talking about $150 systems +$50 games. For many....$500 is quite an investment up front for gaming (and add another $40 for a second controller +$50 for an actual game). You are getting well into PC price territory (let's not pretend everyone spends $2k on a system). I completely understand peoples reservations.

And I don't know if KI will be exactly as described. There might be a F2P version and a total paid version. Kind of like a demo that was required on all Xbox Arcade Games. Guess more will have to come be released. If it is just all F2P, I hope all the characters don't end up costing like $100. =(

then sell me a disc based game at launch so i can purchase it on a disc.

but if it ends up being like $30 or so for dlc only then i'd be fine with it.

but then if i see it's only a $30 game, it will make me question the actual quality of the game. and the fragmentation of the f2p characters also makes me think that not many people will actually get into the game simply due to that, which mean there won't be a large community.

me personally, i won't be buying ANY games in digital form if they are available in a physical media. i'm in no way ready to go digital only, even though i'm on 75mb fios. fuck that shit give me a disc.

Yep, MS better hope that the additional profits driven from eliminating used sales makes up for the massive damage they're doing to their brand. They just flipped a huge portion of the industry the bird.

Gamestop is roughly a $10 BILLION a year company. Who do you think Gamestop is going to push in their thousands of retail locations? The company that's continuing business as usual or the one that just kicked them in the groin?

the fact they are calling it "f2p" is hilarious though. especially when i just downloaded the injustice and darkstalkers demos and it has 2 or 3 characters on the DEMO. now granted it's not the fully unlocked version, but at least it lets you get a feel for the game with more than 1 character.

shoulda known that with the history of rare at ms, that ms would fuck up killer instinct somehow... although, i still think the fucking video and gameplay looks BADASS

If I can pay for a 500 dollar gpu I can afford a console. The issue is what you are getting for the price. Some people just have to buy everything. Others, well I certainly have other priorities when it also comes to money.

Even if I have to pay 5 bucks for psn+ having the ability to get a used game here and there plus give my games to family and friends is a big plus for me. I could care less for kinnect or the eye camera I never had the need for it.

We don't have all the info yet. I am better there will be some form of in game currency to get new characters, and some kind of rotation. It just makes so little sense to have only 1 character playable unless you pay. A possible free rotation would make perfect sense though.

What choice do they have ? Lol it's funny that you mention too but it will happen. I'm not a huge online gamer at all. On the console I'll play maybe 2 or 3 times online but I won't mind paying the fee. On ps3 I didn't mind it being free because I rarely did multiplayer. I would go to the store and check out demos and other things.

I chose ps3 over Xbox mainly because of the release games I was interested in. I just hope they have a nice layout for the online features.

You have to admit that PS+ is still better than Xbox Live. Even if it does suck to have to pay to play online games. At least you don't have to pay in order to access Netflix, and there's a pretty good library of games you can play for free if you have a membership. Xbox Live is finally going to give members free games, but they haven't started yet and it will take quite some time to catch up.

A lot of PS3 owners were already paying for PS+ even though it wasn't required to play games online, just because of the nice benefits. But there's really no reason to pay for Xbox Live except to play online.

They have started giving away free games. Fable 3 is free right now on Xbox Live.

The irony is a ton of PSN fanboys were always bashing XBL because you had to pay to gain a feature in the game. These same fanboys are talking about how great PS+ is now and they are willing to pay for that very same feature on the PS4.

Honestly, it is $4 a month. If you can't afford that, you shouldn't have purchased a console. I will end up keeping my XBL and getting PS+.

nothing you stated addressed what the ps3 fanboys cried about - paying a fee to play online multiplayer. you can't "use all features of the game" unless you pay a monthly fee now on ps4.

i don't care if you get daily blowjobs with the monthly fee, it still doesn't change the fact that now you have to pay a monthly fee to play online on ps4.

LOL ... and HHEERREE they come! now the sony camp is trying to justify the monthly fee, just as xbox users always did, so they can find full value in the monthly fee they will now be forced to pay in order to play online.
