Both MS and Sony have used "exclusive" for timed exclusives in the past. MS has also used "exclusive" to mean console exclusive that's also on PC.

So it's quite reasonable to think MS only paid enough to get a timed or console exclusive for Dead Rising 3.
 
PS4 is $100 cheaper but the One has Forza, damn it. I'd be pretty surprised if MS didn't drop the price before launch. At $100 cheaper the PS4 is going to own it this holiday season. Junior is going to have a tough time getting mom and dad to spend the extra dough on the One.

I honestly think Microsoft made so many fatal mistakes with the Xbone that a lot of developers are going to think twice about developing for the One and might just go with the PS4 only.
 
Another mistake... Killer Instinct is free to play(pay walled by gold membership) and the only character you can play is Jago unless you buy character packs.

Nickel and dime...here we come. Plus honestly the trailer they showed did not look that great at all to me. It is a day one game, digital only.
 
I'm pre ordering mine now and I'll have it payed off this month. I know my mom won't get my brother one for the holidays since she doesn't make much money but most cases I'll buy him one for Xmas too. The 499 price will be tough for most people. I would have been a little turned off if ps4 was that much or more.
 
I really hope MS drops the price before release. I understand it comes with Kinect, but Sony allows used games, backwards compatible, and is.... $100 cheaper.

I really want to get the One, but price is really killing it for me right now.

I didn't see anything about backwards compatibility at the conference.
 
Yeah compatibility is a pipe dream for either system. Ports only, with aid of rapid translation tools, but not real time emulation.

The reason SSF4 was delayed on PC was because bootleg arcade cabs running the PC edition are rampant in China. And I imagine cabs are where they make a ton of money. I remember reading they go for like $20k and you have to buy two, at least at launch.
 
I have a few ps3 games I never played due to interest. I don't mind if I don't play them. I think I will still have my ps3 in another room just In case.

Neither system is going to have trivial automatic backward compatibility without some kind of porting of the binaries and re releasing. The power gap between current and next gen is not that great. Current gen was extremely powerful compared to all previous generations.

They should at least do something like LoL where they have a rotation of free characters so people can practice with all of them and buy the ones they like

dunno, i'm torn right now. luckily i have months to decide. watch dogs and mgs5 looked awesome though. no clue if they are launch titles or not (just don't remember from the conferences).

And I don't know if KI will be exactly as described. There might be a F2P version and a total paid version. Kind of like a demo that was required on all Xbox Arcade Games. Guess more will have to come be released. If it is just all F2P, I hope all the characters don't end up costing like $100. =(

that is what im hoping, we'll have to wait and find out. i do know last night i was looking on amazon for killer instinct (as well as gamestop) and was wondering hwy it wasnt listed, so that is not a good sign.
