I'm getting MLB but I came across a good deal on ammo for my other hobby and that ate up my extra funds for right now. Probably get it a week late

Mlb the show is out Tuesday. If any of you get it send me a friend request, I'll be picking mine up on the way home from work. I'm pretty pumped about this game.

Very curious if the online play will be good enough with the move to the PS4. I've read horrid reports of it's functionality on the PS3, and some things they put in the online game to fight lag are being reported as visually jarring by players on Operation Sports, with Sony saying it's the way they wanted it and it won't be changed in a patch.

I've never played an online game in all the years I've been playing The Show; I spend pretty much all of my time in Road to the Show. I can't wait to get started on Tuesday!

You are in my friends list. I'll message you if I get it. Looks good and even though I never played a baseball video game, I like that this has the road to the playoffs player mode like 2k14 so I'll get to learn it.

The last baseball game I played was MVP 2004. I played while growing up til I was 17, I love the sport my back just can't handle it

Can you post a link to that info please? I'm at work and don't want to waste all of my lunch searching for it.

your back? from playing on the couch?
I play on my bed so maybe try that 🙂

3 herniated discs and a microlaminectomy later my days of physically playing baseball are over. Loved the sport growing up so I know I'll really get into this game. I haven't seen any preview scores yet either

Never played online either. Can't wait for tomorrow, though I won't be home til like 10pm to enjoy it for that long. :[

I've played The Show online, but only in coop against the AI. The last few years had really bad lag, with spikes at the worst time. I tried to sell my ps4 but couldn't get any good offers, so I may pick this game up this week.

I'll be grabbing The Show, but I probably will not have time to really play it much for a couple of weeks. Weird that there are no reviews of the PS4 version yet. :hmm:

KT

Edit: I should say I find Baseball as a game painful to watch on TV (it's fun live), but The Show is pretty fantastic and very fun. At least it was the last time I played it a handful of years ago.

Mercenary Kings rules. First time I played it I gave up quickly, but then I gave it another chance and its been playing constantly for over a week. Definitely got my ZERO dollars worth!

Ha!

I posted this a few weeks ago

I've been playing Mercenary Kings today. I wrote it off when I first played it but have enjoyed it a lot today.

I had a great time. I must have gotten 40-60 hours out of the game.

Thats hilarious. I wonder if the above 2 posters have also not given it a second chance! I had completely written it off after my first go at it. I'll bet literally 99% of the people who downloaded it for free did as well.

The game does a great job of keeping that carrot-on-the-stick in front of you, the promise for better guns.

It's Diablo meets Metal Slug, to some degree.

Playing it coop with drinks adds to it..

50 cars is it? I like that they're offering so many tracks (is that 55 tracks or circuits, meaning several paths of a track?), but even the cut-down Forza 5 has 200+ cars.

You don't need that many cars though. Nobody actually goes out and picks the Fiat over the McLaren on purpose. Also I don't think anyone uses all the cars in racing sims because some of them are totally redundant(you don't need multiple versions of the Viper and Skyline for example) and totally outclassed by other options anyway. Drive Club only has higher end sports cars, sort of like Need for Speed. Arcade style racing games don't always have huge lists of cars. They have a few options in different classes and you choose from among those. I've not read one piece of info to suggest that drive club is anything close to a simulator.

Also the tracks aren't closed tracks like Forza, they are open roads. Again like Need for Speed in a way. If it plays as good as it looks I'll probably buy it. I like Forza but sometimes I just want to drop in a high end car and hit the gas and drift around turns without all the tuning, upgrades, and options.

I don't even bother with the tuning stuff in Forza. I'm a big fan of racing games, but I'm useless when it comes to knowing things about cars, and that's the one thing that's a drag with Forza. It's also something I liked with PGR, because it was a simple matter of getting in the same car as everyone else, then out-driving the opponent. Still, it's nice to have cars that aren't McLarens or Ferraris at times, because they both help to train you to drive before throwing you in something really powerful, and they offer a generally-different driving experience.

I'm hoping we get Forza Horizon 2 this fall, though I'm also not sure if I'd get it, because I have a lot to do in FM5, and The Crew sounds like a solid alternative.

Finally got platinum in infamous. Can't say I'll go back to it so I'll probably take advantage of gamestops 50% extra trade in and pre-order watch dogs. I just don't know if I should go PC or ps4.
