Finally got platinum in infamous. Can't say I'll go back to it so I'll probably take advantage of gamestops 50% extra trade in and pre-order watch dogs. I just don't know if I should go PC or ps4.

Pc will look better of course if you can crank it up. I chose ps4 because my friends are getting it for that system. And since I generally enjoy open world games on a console.

I'm getting it on the ps4, much rather use a controller and play with friends online

You can still use a controller on pc but in my case I wouldn't be able to set my pc up in the living room for an hour or two each time I want to play. You would have to buy a wireless gamepad though.

PC and play on your TV...what I'm probably gonna do.

I have a wireless PC controller and already have a huge HDMI cable ran to my TV from my PC. I'm worried that my 2500K and 570 isn't good enough if it's not optimized well, and like with Infamous if I finish it quickly I can trade in a PS4 game for quite a bit. I have no friends with a PS4 or gaming PC so that won't sway me either way. I think in my heart I know the PC version will be better and I'm just trying use my PS4 more.

Anyway, has anybody tried this month's PSN+ game yet (stick it to the man)? So far it seems pretty simple, but I like the art style and I enjoyed the little time I played of it so far.

I watched TotalBiscuit's video on it when it came out for the PC, and the game looked very simple in the beginning, but the difficulty or rather the sheer size of the puzzles (you have to search the level for the right item to solve some situation) definitely seemed to increase over time.

I am looking forward to Drive Club. Last week I put my ps4 back in its box and put it in storage. I guess I don't have to worry about taking it out till October. Anybody know is these ps+ cards expire. I bought 1 last month from newegg but have not used it yet. Can I use it in October when I get Drive Club?

I understand what you're saying. I think the 570 might be enough to get above the PS4 visuals and maintain above 30fps, but the trade-in aspect is a possible issue in your situation. I'm thinking of trading in Infamous myself, so I understand where you're coming from with that angle.

They don't expire until used. I bought a bunch of them when they went on sale before PS4 release, 6-8 months later I used them.

I finished it today. It definitely got "bigger" but never really too complicated. The most challenging parts came from having to get around guards, which I guess were kind of puzzles in themselves. I didn't care for some of the early dialog (was more stupid than funny) but the last couple chapters were great. Good game overall and worth playing through

I pre-ordered the ps4 version. I might wait for reviews and not open it until I get a better idea of how well it runs on the PC. If it's optimized enough I can swap them

Is there an easy to follow tut on using the PS4 controller on PC? And is it as responsive as a wired controller?

Yes Google ds4 tool and get version 1.22 it's the latest. You open it and follow the instructions, install some files, then open the program and tick hide ps4 controller. This makes it emulate a 360 controller and you can play just about any game.

I'll gladly give up some resolution if it means a larger world or more people to play with like Battlefield 4.

Same here. Couldn't help but say that your post reminded me a bit about Minecraft.. I read somewhere that a dev mentioned that worlds on PS4 will be so much larger.

Idk I'm a geek and I just want Minecraft to get on PS4.. 😛

So, just to make sure, everyone's going to boycott Sony and call their console doomed because it doesn't do 1080p/60 FPS, even though Sony said it would in the past, right? That's the Internet's typical response to anything Microsoft changes.

Not sure why anyone would be surprised.

It will be PC > PS4 > XB1 > WiiU > PS360 depending on a title's availability. Any multiplat available on PS4 will be the best console version, with few/zero exceptions.

Exclusives are the lifeblood of weaker consoles, and can be good enough to sway people for sure. I'm far more likely to get a U than a PS4, and not likely to ever get an XB1, simply due to which exclusives I prefer. PS4 is likely at some point though due to multiplats that simply won't ever come to the U or even PC though. But I can wait for a revision and $299 pricing for that (fall 2015).

Uh...what?

I'm lost here...help me out.

So you suggest boycotting sony because it may not be 1080p @ 60fps?

MS called Ubi and complained. Ubi called Sony and ask they take it down.

We'll see in two weeks.

lol pretty much what I was thinking. Really though, is anyone who actually plays the game going to complain about the game's framerate without a fraps meter staring at them or about the resolution without zooming on on pixels? Unlikely...especially not in a game like this that is open world with a lot of stuff going on. It'll probably be impressive enough.

I would probably complain about framerate. Been playing PS3 off and on and it is incredibly unprofessional how much stutter there is in games on a locked down system. There really is no excuse for it. While you could argue that even the NES had artifacts due to too much on the screen, we are well past that era and as much as they yell about what games cost, maybe they should spend more money on making them run correctly, rather than all the other (cough marketing) bs they spend it on. Pretty doesn't mean much if it is laggy and stuttery unless you are freezing the screen to take screenshots.

You know what I mean. If you are playing the game and focused on the game play it isn't likely you will nitpick in my experience.

Yea I most likely won't notice low frames as long as the game does not stutter. I'm not going to complain that it's not 60fps because you don't have a frame counter on ps4.
