Ha sold out in a couple of minutes. Stores in my area do not have them in stock again either.

fingers are numb from playing 3 straight hours of NFS. why isnt anyone else playing this?

because i've played that game already a million times on 360. nfs hasn't changed its formula in a very long time, it's the same old shit. they even use the parts of the maps from the burnout game and previous nfs games on these new ones.

OMG COPS CHASE YOU? I REMEMBER DOING THAT BACK ON PS2!!

PS1 for me lol. Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit.

I think I read that NFS is locked to 30fps too.

I just found something strange. In the Crackle app, I was playing a movie and accidently backed out instead of paused on PS4 but it saved my progress and would resume. I went to the XB1 version and played a movie then backed out again and it had to start from the beginning. Also the PS4 app has a sidebar that loads up with your browsing choices and the movies line up in a grid on screen. On the XB1 there is no sidebar and the movies are listed in a row that scrolls across the screen so you have fewer titles viewable on the screen. You have to select the movie on the XB1 to get a description of it, but on the PS4 simply highlighting one of them brings up a quick summary in a popup bubble. I much prefer the way the PS4 app is designed for sure, but I hate trying to use the controller to control playback. The options button is play/pause and the d-pad is FF/RW which makes it awkward. It was strange to see how different these apps were designed between platforms.

The only reason I use crackle is it has some old martial arts action flicks that you can't find anywhere except maybe in a collection of old VHS tapes.

I'm sure that software kinks such as those you described will be worked out over the next few months. You're right though. It's strange how the same app can be implimented in different ways. Both consoles should see some sizable patches released in the next month or two to corrected alot of those nagging things.

Such as with my XB1. I don't use the kinect...never even took it out the box. The problem is that the autologin was designed for the kinect and there is no auto login option without it. I know it's going to implimented and that it was mainly a time constraint since when the software was written originally the kinect was mandatory, but it just shows how little things are going to be annoying the in the short term.

That said, the XB1 Netflix app is friggin awesome compared to what I used prior to it. I'm curious what the PS4 one is like.

this,

I played all the original NFS including the first one on the PC. It actually began to go downhill after that. 2002 was the last one I played on a ps2 and it doesn't appear they have done anything since then.

I hate car games now, though. They are incredibly boring and monotonous.

Yeah, and to think when I showed him he was going to get a coffee first. I had to remind him how many Targets and Best Buys he went to in the last week looking for a PS4...

He's a fool lol. Takes a minute to checkout next to running out to get coffee or even making a cup with a Keurig takes longer than checking out on Amazon :p

I do find this funny, when I made my post Amazon also had Xbone's back in stock too and just saw that they still have them for sale at Amazon.

If anyone is looking for accessories, Toys R Us has a coupon (bunch of coupons) for 30% off any regularly priced video game accessory. There's nothing to state that this does not include PlayStation 4 controllers, chargers, etc. To note, this is in-store only!

...or you could just buy it through the Amazon mobile app while walking to get your coffee. Our consoles can multi-task now, so why don't we? ;)

Because you know for a fact that Amazon got the exact same amount of consoles for both of them so that means the Xbox wasn't selling when the ps4 was, right?

No, it was to point out for something that is so hard to get that is new and during the holiday shopping season, it stayed in stock for a long time on the biggest e-retailer on the planet.

It should of been expected to sell out super quick as it was posted all over forums, regardless of the number of units Amazon had. At the very least, if it was in a higher demand, scalpers would of been jumping all over it immediately.

Not bad! It specifically excludes Disney stuff, which means it definitely will cover PS4 controller. Considering it's still possible to buy a dualshock 3 for $55, getting a 4 for $40 is a great price.

I almost wonder if he maybe didnt want to spend the money yet, although he did perorder the PS4 version of BF4 so I dunno. Every day he was telling me how he would stop by any place that sells consoles looking for one. For those of you with those Starbucks machines at work, you know its like 3-5 min, assuming no one is ahead of you and no one talks to you. Literally 5 min after he placed the order it was out of stock.

I was watching him place the order, and the first time he added it there was an error. Then he adds it to his cart and goes through checkout. But then he is double and triple checking is shipping and billing info. Its not like he didnt order from Amazon before. I thought he was going to miss out in those last few seconds, but in retrospect maybe he just wasnt ready to buy yet and exaggerated a bit about how much he wanted one. I guess if I dont see him playing BF4 this weekend I'll assume he cancelled the order. :p

Nice coupon, getting an extra controller and charging station.

I wish I could use it, but I was a dummy and paid full price for extra controllers that I haven't even used yet. :p I've been tempted to get a Wii U as soon as I can find a good sale, so I've considered buying a Pro controller for it. $35 for that is pretty good.

heh I paid full price for an extra PS4 controller but I've used it lots. One controller dies, I grab the one from my charging station and put the other down to charge.
