Everyone, Killzone's campaign is not that great. It is pretty and has some fun set pieces. That's it. Multiplayer is considerably better and, IMO, offers one of the better FPS MP experiences around. It's got a good bit of depth that takes some time to learn and appreciate as well, but think TF2 + CoD and you'll sort of get an idea of what it can be like. To not at least give it a few hours chance is a bit unfair. Do not judge it based on SP.

Also, purbeast0, I think your controller or PS4 is having issues. Can't say I have experienced those issues with KZ and my controller.

With Battlefield and CoD out, I have no desire to play Killzone MP as no review I have read has said that it brings anything different to the table. I'll try it for sure but my MP time is spent on Battlefield.

I didn't buy it for pc but got it for the ps4 because all my friends did too. I have not had any issues playing since the patch with conquest or rush. I played last night some conquest and then domination. Also did some matches as commander. At least, it seemed to be working for me.

Last week I did notice heavy lag when in a chopper but it wasn't there when I played this time.

Yup...another generic FPS. Would not have picked it up had it not been a launch title and exclusive :c. Its pretty and all and shows off the system, but like most console shooters, its nothing a PC gamer hasn't seen in the 90s in terms of gameplay.

Best gunfire I've ever heard in a game is...not surprisingly... The Last of Us. The hunting rifles hurt my ears and made me head shy, and was worse the closer you were to the person firing at you. If you were near the muzzle when it went off it was painful and flinch inducing like a real rifle without hearing protection. The boom, the crack, everything. I could seriously feel the pressure and concussion from the muzzle blast like a real gun ringing my ears the closer the muzzle was to my head. Just amazing. Being shot at with hunting rifles in that game was just damn scary.

Just hope I didn't damage my sound system.

I forgot to mention this in the last of us thread but I independently noticed it, too. In real life guns are loud as hell. In 99% of video games they sound like a cap gun. The guns in last of us had some real oomf behind them. Their comparative rarity of use helped that, but so did the sound. When a shot gun goes off it should be freaking ear blasting.

1 Game and that game and it's developers had been working on that while Crysis 1 was getting released. Completely different people and even on the financial side little of Ryse affected any further Crysis work.

Killzone is alright...it looks gorgeous at least, best graphics on PS4.

Its just that its yet another generic Halo type linear console shooter really, that's all.

comparing killzone to halo does halo injustice. halo hasn't been great in it's latest iterations, but it's still been better than killzone.

Based on the positive review of Gran Turismo 6 I just saw, it seems like they ought to be making a PS4 version, though I don't have much interest in racing games myself.

Halo to me was the same thing time after time but at least it was a bit more enjoyable personally. Killzone reminded me of playing resistance. Generic...fps is an fps, is an fps to me. You can't really make them unique, that's why there is crysis and far cry.

i think resistance has much more personality than killzone does. im a big fan of the resistance single player games. tons of variety in those games. in killzone i can't even tell the differences between the weapons that i have after 4 chapters. both resistance and halo have some personality to me, but killzone just has none.

Yeah its awesome when you are afraid of allowing someone to shoot at you again just because its so freaking loud and painful, forget about actually being hit.

There were times I would be sneaking and not realize someone saw me, they would shoot and I jump out of my seat because of the sound. That game has great sound on all the weapons.

the game has great sound all around. the clicker noises on the ambient speakers were awesome as well when in the sewers and just all around when trying to sneak around in dark places.

I think march? Or june, it got pushed back the same time as watchdogs. Watchdogs now says April.

Wow I'm glad I got it for ps4 then. At least I play it with my friends and we only had issues before they put conquest up.

What is amazing about BF4 on the PC is, that my experience the beta was LESS buggy than the current retail game.

lol, yeah I didnt have any problems with the beta, but retail was much worse. Its a little better now for me personally, but other guys in the forum still crash quite a few times each night. Whats lame is I was watching someone play on PS4, and the game crashed! Never really seen that before. A hang on console sure, but never an outright crash. If they can't make a stable game on console, PC will have a long wait before it stabilizes.

I've had it crash on ps4 3 times before. You get the familiar this app must close something happened lol, same crap you would get in windows sometimes when you have a buggy app. It would always happen after I did really good. Last night I noticed I ranked up after a match, I quit and came back in to another game but I was still my old rank. Must still be server issues.

Yeah I had never even heard of a console game crashing and didn't think it was possible. It takes a special kind of incompetence to accomplish what dice has.

I've seen some funky things when using a bad disc, but otherwise that is odd. Almost makes you wonder if it could affect the console itself at all.
