I sort of liked the first Assassin's Creed.

Although, all I used it for was to test how well my GPU OC was doing, by checking FPS while I wandered around hidden-blade stabbing innocent people...

I did at the time. The climbing mechanics and such were fairly good even if the game itself wasn't great. After playing AC2 it was easy to see where AC1 fell apart, but at the time I still liked it enough to complete it.

I haven't played it much either. Reminds me of crisis for some reason. The design is odd for an fps but it's all futuristic. The touchpad to use the bot is cool but it's overly sensitive. It's tough to sneak around at least on the first level it kind of was. I tripped alarms everywhere.

Yeah you have to use your scanner to find the alarm panel and hack it before the guys can set it off. Later on there are boxes that send out spider mines you have to hack.

Dont get me wrong I like the game but it has some things that dont make a very good fps game. It still falls for the trap of sending waves and waves of enemies at you until a certain time limit is reached. You cannot win by killing the waves, you need to last a certain amount of time. Or moving on to the next area with no prompts to tell you that.

Yeah it took me a while to get used to playing killzone it's just a whole different mechanic when it comes to fps.

right now killzone is my least played "next gen" game right now. killer instinct and knack have hte most time, then resogun, then killzone. i really don't have much desire to go back to it either. it wasn't bad, it just did not suck me in. i probably never should agotten it though since i'm just tired of fps games.

Does anyone know how to add someone to your party in battlefield 4 so that we can join games together ? It seems like you have to wait until you see your friend in a game then join that server, then change teams to be on the same team.

It's borked on both platforms. Battlefield forums are lit up with this right now. Hopefully they fix it as soon as they get both systems stabilized.

Its an exclusive, there isn't much else to buy on launch, single player and attempt at story and not just mindless circling the same back alley online , and at least it uses the blue and red colors and not just shades of green and brown like the rest. So theres that

I find myself putting it and just looking at it more than playing (completed on FU mode launch weekend)

Yeah, it's a bummer that's for sure. A patch was released this morning for PS4. Unfortunately, DICE still needs to get the Xbone caught up on all the updates the PS4 has enjoyed so far, plus there's still audio issues across both platforms. Rumor has it they might be addressing netcode issues, too.

Once all that is resolved, hopefully they'll circle back to stuff like this.

Oh, goodness gracious! Took me a few tries, but I finally saved all the humans on the second planet on veteran. Thinking about it... the game gives me no actual bonus for doing it on a harder difficulty. I really just ought to do it on rookie and save myself all the effort.

Also, I was on the Housemarque forums, and there's one good thing that I read. For the keepers that have one guy in green and the rest in red (may not be able to see the reds), you have to kill the one in green first! You first get that in stage two near the end with the weird floaty squid things. Also, there are some humans that require you to have a certain multiplier to free. I think the 9th human on stage two is like that as I failed to free it once, but I didn't recall screwing up, and the next time, I had a ~10x multiplier, and he just popped out.

Hmm, did not realize that about the multiplier to save guys. I will have to keep an eye on that. Thanks.

I have no idea how some of these people get around a 20 million score. I got around 1.5 million and I was super happy. Crazy.

Anyone using a virtual surround device if you're using headphones? Currently using the optical out to a headphone amp connected to my K702s but I'm tempted to pick up an Astro Mixamp as I miss having surround sound.

Better to just use 5.1 real speakers then any virtual surrround device.

Someone just mentioned that some humans require you to have a certain multiplier to be released, always wondered this myself since sometimes i would hear human lost with no indication of keepers around

Yeah, I always thought that was weird until I saw a bunch of posts from an admin on the Housemarque boards, which consisted of tips and tricks for Resogun. The multiplier to free "hidden humans" was one of those posts.

That's usually one of the issues that I run into with Housemarque games. You typically don't get instructions, and there are sometimes odd things like that which may be difficult to figure out. The PS4 has an instructions thing built into it, but it just opens this awkward browser-based thing. The Vita is a lot better with it, but the instructions for Super Stardust Delta pretty much just consists of an unnecessary back story.

I have no idea how some of these people get around a 20 million score. I got around 1.5 million and I was super happy. Crazy.

The multiplier is capped at different levels depending on your difficulty level, and I found that as it gets closer to the cap, it raises much slower. Rookie = 5x, Experienced = 10x, Veteran = 15x, Master = 20x and Hero = ??x. Note that Hero is an unlisted difficulty, but some dude that got 700,000,000 points unlocked it.

You also get bonuses at the end if you manage to do certain things such as free all humans, never die and keep your multiplier (note that you can't #3 without #2). I got 100,000 points for freeing all humans in addition to the 10,000 bonus per human. That is also multiplied by your multiplier, which I never dropped. I ended up with something like a 14.79x multiplier, which meant I got around 1.47 million just for saving all humans.

You're lucky. Those of us that fell for the trap that was AC1, are still jaded with the series. I haven't played a single one after the first due to how bad it was. Plus, their whole "here is a hot girl that works on games" marketing was pretty maddening to me.

I won't buy another AC, I don't care what people say about it. The entire premise and story was completely stupid.

Meh, I liked AC1 a ton--it's still the only one a played. Yes, it got stale and repetitive pretty quickly, was buggy as hell, but for me was one of those early PS3 + new Plasma screen experiences for me. It was fun to just run around and do crazy shit.

I have ACII through steam, haven't really played it yet after more than a year of owning it--gamepad was broken at the time and I found the prologue more or less impossible on KB/M. It is near the top of my list of "games I need to get to very soon"

AC1 was a gorgeous game when it first came out for sure. Tt was certainly one of the titles to show to friends what the 360/PS3 was capable of. Though everything else felt like an afterthought. The combat wasn't all that great, story and characters were weak, there was no mission variety. I don't think they had really hashed out the concept before pushing it to market.

The gaming press was way too generous in their scoring of AC1. It got way too many 80s and 90s, where realistically it was a 60 or 70 tops. Might have been some... encouragement going on there. Especially since it was going up against well established open world games like GTA, or stealth action like Metal Gear Solid. Both solid series that it doesn't come close to touching.

Thirded . I hated AC1 but loved AC2 I then subsequently hated AC3 but I am about half way through 4 currently and loving every second of it. Damn I wanna be a pirate

VR storyline...you mean the idea of looking into your past using the animus and experiencing what your ancestors did in order to pinpoint relics and important artifacts in the modern day so that you can find out what "those who came before" are trying to tell you and prevent the end of the world? Yeah...and I didn't think it was that stupid at all.

The games would have been much better had they just been based in that time period, at least the first one. The whole "experience the memories of your anscestors using this magical machine, while we watch and then kill you afterwards, but there is a twist! Someone is a mole and saves you" is pretty silly. It is a force "scifi" element that has no place.
