Haven't you been paying attention! Extra features to use your console differently are only good when Sony adds them. When MS adds them, they are trying to kill gaming.
I call bs here. This has nothing to do with DRM.

I didn't know dlna was added in, I did know about the blu-ray updates.

I didn't say anything about DRM. Go read the threads when the Xbox One was revealed. MS spent a lot of time talking about non gaming stuff, and quite a few people were posting about how MS hated gamers and wants to do all that garbage because they were showcasing Skype, NFL, DVR stuff.
I said that earlier in the thread thanks. I am talking about people mad about DRM before.
Too light and it feels like it will break to me. I like to feel a little heft myself but not a lot. With tablets etc they are awkward to hold so they should be light to avoid discomfort.
But it doesn't break on you, it's all in your head.
PS4: The Ultimate FAQ North America
I find it a bit strange that it doesn't support audio CDs, even though I don't really care about that feature.
There are people still mad about the DRM as well. I can't recall who, but I have seen posts containing something very similar to "MS tried to screw us with DRM and they will do it again".
The attitude that a company was trying to do something and changed their stance because of negative reception being a bad thing is pretty moronic. MS listened to what the collective YOU wanted, and instead of just knowing what is best for us, they changed pretty much everything. Companies like Valve did not do the same thing. They stuck with "we know what's best" and it turns out they did. MS was doing something nearly identical, with more (better) features and the internet was lit up with cry babies. So, MS did what 99% of big companies would never do: they changed to meet the needs of those complaining about their direction. But, rather than being met with praise for actually listening to the customer, they are vilified as being evil and simply trying to trick you into buying their product so they can bring back the features you hated and already have your money so who cares.
So this confirms that standard BlueTooth headsets won't be supported, despite the fact that the system is capable of BlueTooth. That's obnoxious, probably the most obnoxious thing Sony has done with the PS4 so far. I can live with it, but it annoys the heck out of me. Of course, MS is guilty of very similar behavior with other peripherals, so no company is perfect.

I think it supports Bluetooth keyboard and it's odd that it doesn't support headsets. So I can't use a headset I have with the ps3 ? I think there is a chart on that page. No reason why Bluetooth headsets won't be supported later. Hell for the ps3 I went to Wal-Mart and picked up any random headset and it worked great.
Isn't it because voice chat is now routed through the controller and it's mic output? I don't k ow the details of that.
Yeah it has to do with the mono headset and how it plugs in to the controller. So to voice chat you need that mono headset plugged in. But I dunno how comfortable that would feel all the time with a small wire running to the controller.
That, and if I didn't want a headset then the only option would be the mono Mic they give you at least for now.
I'm holding off on the headsets until a wireless one comes out officially for ps4 or the current is officially supported. Last I heard we have to wait for updates as BT headsets aren't supported at launch. The pricey ones from Turtle Beach look nice.
They are doing headsets the same way Xbox is, plug it in through the controller.

PS4 will support the Pulse Wireless Stereo Headset and Pulse Wireless Stereo Headset – Elite Edition following an upcoming PS4 system software update. Existing wireless headsets from third-party companies that use a Bluetooth connection will not be supported on PS4
Sure, that's the default wired headset, but see what they say about Bluetooth:
In other words, we're going to lock you into using our BlueTooth headset and not support any third party ones. It's just a dick move on Sony's part from what I can tell, with no technical reason behind it.
EDIT: One correction here, I don't think the Pulse headsets are actually BlueTooth. But, the table on the Sony FAQ page still says that there will be BlueTooth-only PS4 headsets in the future.
It is really not. These are video game consoles. Didn't you guys get up in arms when MS said the xb1 would do TV and all that and said "hey it is supposed to be about games" now it is totally the opposite. There are other products including PC that can do the streaming. Hell a cheap used ps3 will be fine along side the ps4.
Consoles stopped being only video game machines in the current generation. Its obvious where their focus is, nickel and dime the consumer to death. No blu ray out of the box, but I bet the online video store is working. No audio CD or mp3 support, but the online music subscription service will probably be working.
And looking at the PS4 launch lineup, I doubt the focus was actually on games. The only thing that made the PS3 viable on launch was the media capabilities. That was going to be the saving grace for the PS4 well, but not anymore. No backward compatibility like the PS3 had, so I cant even get by with playing HSG or something. Maybe they should have launched this in 2014, but as it is now, there really isn't any compelling reason to have one at launch if you have a PS3. Maybe if you are a hardcore BF4 console player, but thats about it.
If you got your head out of your ass you would find games worth playing. Saving grace is media? Give me a damn break.
