I can also verify this. My coworker tried remote play in our office, and it worked surprisingly well. Perhaps just a bit too much latency for a FPS, but the only real "issue" was the video compression due to our slow Wi-Fi network.

Similar situation, I only get about 9/2 on a 55 down connection (I forget the upstream speed). However, I still pull about 6-7MB/s in downloads, much like Steam.

Yeah nine is way better than 2-3. I checked again and it said 2.3mb for both. Going to remove all the ports I forwarded after work and put the system in dmz mode in my router to check what happens. The speeds fluctuate each time I check but they are never close to what speeds other WiFi enabled devices I have running. It's a one bedroom apartment so it's not like I'm very far away from the router. I wish I could just wire it through Ethernet but that is not an option.

I was most disappointed to find out that the PS4 only had 2.4ghz WiFi.

I imagine it's not a huge problem for a lot of people, but I can't get over 2Mb/s transfer rate on a 2.4ghz network in my neighborhood because it's just so saturated. 5ghz let's me hit my WAN max of 50Mb/s. Just very disappointing.

Yea most devices are 2.4 standard. It sucks I've been messing with it a lot and that didn't help. Not sure what will work.

Finally got AC4 in the mail last night. Must say it looks very good in 1080p on PS4. Not quite a huge leap from AC3 on PC though. There was an online pass tucked inside the box. I thought Ubisoft had gotten rid of those.

Yeah I dunno what that is about. I wouldn't play AC4 online anyway myself.

I signed up with that ubi pass because when I tried to do single player it asked if I had one. I too will never play it online. But I didn't know if you just continued without it, if anything would be different.

I can't use the Wifi. I set it all up, but it just dies after being logged in for a minute or two. It can't hold the signal for whatever reason.

Not a huge deal because I prefer wired anyway, but it would be nice to have it work at some point.

It's strange I've never seen anything like that. It's probably an issue Sony is not looking closely at with all the other problems people have been having with the blue pulsing light and so on.

They have gotten rid of them, but that was probably a few weeks ago. These were all likely packed and ready to go by then. Just don't use it. When it asks, you'll be able to download a token from the PS store for free.

It's not used in the main game unless you want to do the 'Kenway's Fleet' side missions. It's worth doing, I think, as it will bring you in some money and resources. I'm only at 49% of the game and my ship is almost fully decked out. I just have to dive in wrecks now to be able to upgrade further. It was nice hitting new areas of the map and being able to just utterly destroy anyone that tried to mess with me.

Wow, I didn't know it was only 2.4. If I was still in my apartment that would definitely be a deal breaker as it was so congested I had constant problems with 2.4 devices. Non dual band these days is just lazy.

Seems something we could see changed in future versions of the PS4...

I had to run into Walmart and checked the PS4 games out and found they are all on sale for $49.00. I happen to have a receipt from buying NFS last week with me(had to do a return on something else) and got $11+ back.

Looks like the Xbox One games are all $49 as well.

Yea I am in an apartment so it does not work good for me. If I constantly can't download stuff I will think about returning it. It's no use if I can't wire it. Too bad best buy may not let me take it back. I'm constantly having to download some update and can't play my games at times.

Oh totally forgot to share that. Probably because its not a big deal after a week of B2G1 ;)

Beyond Two Souls is also $25 as a Black Friday sale.

Yeah i might just return mine as well. Not really for the wifi (although that sucks), but because I can't seem to find anything I want to play other than infamous, which is many months away.

Best buy will probably charge me with a 15% restocking fee. I'll troubleshoot some more today after work to make sure I've covered all the bases. Wasn't ps3 using 2.4ghz wireless ?

Similar issue with mine. It's almost like someone forgot to connect the antenna. :hmm:

Not a big deal for me either, going wired.

Yes, as far as I'm aware, the PS3 only supported 802.11b/g, even in the new super slim.

Then why do I have a faster wireless connection on the ps3 and not the same on ps4. I'm going to look at other routers but the one I have is a couple of months old.

If it is defective, you shouldn't get a restock fee.

Defective is a strange word to use because by my example, then there are many, many people out there with defective consoles. I never have issues lagging or getting kicked out of multiplayer, it's getting in to boot the game to play it that's a problem because after installation it decides all my games need giant updates so downloads take forever.
