Been using this case for a few days. Really great stuff. They thought of EVERYTHING. It stands up in three ways, it can be made to stay open or closed, magnetic lock works, its got a carrying loop so you can literally carry it around with a single finger, the usefulness of the hand strap cannot be overstated, it's thick enough that you feel like you can casually toss it around without fear, feels soft and leathery, and looks great. And it's under $20, and does not look cheap in the slightest way.

I am looking for one that would let me use my iPad in either landscape or portrait. I really like the smart cover that I have, but it would be nice if I could use it for portrait.

Also, what is up with the apps that lock the screen to landscape, contrary to the smart cover's orientation. So if smart cover is such that in typing mode it has the home button on the left, these apps are oriented so that the home button is on the right.

Cool. Been looking for a decent book / folio type case that also has a hand strap.

I wish it came in white too though.

Not perfect but it works.

I can do the same thing with my smart cover, I am talking about a sort of low angle like the typing angle on the smart cover, but in portrait mode.

Never seen that before...why would you want that though? Seems easier to type landscape.

So how's everybody enjoying the iPad 3 so far? I originally decided not to get one but the 256mb of RAM on my iPad is getting really limiting. A lot of apps, especially PressReader and Atomic, which I use the most, are constantly running out of RAM and crashing.

I'm sort of split on what to do. Whether to go with an iPad 3 or get a Transformer Prime, or wait for the Infinity.

Having come from a 1st gen to the 3rd they seriously are like two entirely different devices. Where the 1st one would constantly crash safari..as in several times an hour...if not worse...the 3rd gen has been rock solid.

Where the 1st gen felt juddery and laggy the 3 feels buttery smooth and fast.

Comparing the first gen screen when reading to the second generation is like looking at something without your glasses and then putting them back on. It is just *much* crisper and a pleasure to read.

Add in the camera for facetime (which I do a couple times a week) and the pretty decent rear camera and it's even more of a substansial upgrade over the 1st gen.

Once you try a 3rd gen you'll never enjoy using your 1st gen again.

The first gen was buttery too when it first came out. Then apps became more demanding and it just can't keep up anymore. Anyway, there's a Best Buy across the street from my work. I'll go check them out tomorrow after my shift.

I agree with vi also having upgraded from a 1st gen. It is night and day. The 1st gen is like using a computer infected with malware and the new one is 10 times faster.

I'm kind of bored with my iPad. I feel as though I got a lot more use out of an Android tablet, but now I'm wondering if I should sell it and put that money towards a decent laptop. Hmph.

im really having a bitch of a time finding an inexpensive ipad case for my mom. it kind of sucks since she really wants the case to be red lol...

Anyone know what's going on with stock of the white 64GB Verizon model? Been out of stock in all SoCal and NV Apple Stores the past two weeks.

Is there any way to "view image" on google images for iPad? For iPhone you can, same with regular desktop/laptop.

Search for an image.

Don't click on a picture. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the google page and choose Classic mode instead of tablet.

Fixed.
