Abortion can be left up to the states. It shouldn't be, but technically it can. Interracial marriage and SS marriage are different.
For one, it makes absolutely no sense to be SS married legally in one state, but not in another state. Same goes for interracial marriage.

You have THAT, plus the federal government.
Those SS married and interracial married are granted rights thru the federal government like social security rights and taxation rights and inheritance rights to name only a few. You can't leave issues and rights this important up to only the states nor deny couples of those federal rights that married heterosexual enjoy and are protected within.

Abortion is one thing, but everything else is different and must be handled as such within jurisdiction.

Abortion laws already varied by state, and they did make it ever-increasingly difficult to obtain an abortion in many states. This ruling let them run full steam ahead with fucking stupid/crazy decisions regarding abortion.

Roe V Wade set a baseline at fetal viability (22-24 weeks) that all states had to allow for. Some states allowed late term abortions (3rd Tri-mister) some states did not. Now we have all sorts of stupid going on.

Watch out, these slimy Republicans are now going to attempt changing their position on abortion rights. If it works they will get in and attempt to ban them no exceptions.

Yep, they are either too dumb to realize the internet is forever, or they are counting on the public's short attention span (and that last one, they are onto something).

They were "courageous" enough to stand up against abortion, they should be standing by it when it's obvious they are in the minority. Why, one would almost get the impression they were using it as a way to elected....

YARASOTPP - Yet another Republican attempted scrubbing of their previous position. Dems had better blitx the media with their lying on this issue

The candidate Smiley who is running against Sen. Patty Murry came out with an ad basically admitting that Patty's been beating her over the head about her stating emphatically that's she 100% pro-life. She's now stating that she does not support a national law making abortion illegal.
