I get their habanero salsa, and it's the best I've had. Not necessarily the hottest, but a really good flavor, and no sugar. It's not real common out this way, but Wegmans carries their products. I'll see if they have the cheese dip, but I don't remember seeing it.
We need more Wegmans around here. The closest one is like 40 min away no traffic. It's huge though. They have a few things I don't see normally.

Pretty large liquor store inside too.

Frito Lay has a limited edition Fritos Chili Cheese flavored Lays kettle chip. IMHO they taste like Chili Cheese Fritos, but they're better. Limited edition from Frito Lay usually means it's won't be around long.

I don't like Fritos, but their Chili Cheese version is fantastic! As far as the Lay's go, the Cheetos version was decent, but the Cool Ranch was OUTSTANDING, like a mix of salt & vinegar chips coupled with Cool Ranch, and I say that as someone who doesn't like Cool Ranch!

The last time I actually ATE at a BK was at least 6-8 months ago.... although I got a "craving" for McDonald's breakfast yesterday! (which I resisted)

Even when I did still eat fast-food regularly enough to matter (its been many years) I mostly treated it like a bag of potato-chips not a nutritious meal.

And while its not some kind of weird "contest", per my doctor (who I like, trust and see regularly!) I'm doing fairly well health-wise for an old guy with MANY years of hard partying "on the odo"!!!

Your self-described dietary habits, personal health and especially relationship with medical (and dental!) professionals makes me question if you really know what "healthy" means at all!

;)
Just finished a BOGO Quarter Pounder with cheese at McDonalds yesterday and I cannot understand how this place stays in business.

That burger was so dry and flavorless it's ridiculous. The bun had no flavor, the meat tasted like a five year old could've made it.

There is nothing on McDonald's menu that I would ever crave. The only thing that is decent in a tight breakfast pinch is their sausage McMuffins for $2.19 each extra butter and jelly on the side. Anything else and you're already paying too much.

#ONLYINMERCIA!

Had DUI fries for supper, if the tale about their origins is true, a burger joint in LA called Dino's Burgers created them.

Chili cheese fries, then top with Carne Asada, crumbled bacon and Pastrami, because, why the hell not? The 4 places I have them put them in a huge stryofoam box like you get a 3 item Chinese combo in.

These are DELICIOUS, sure it's basically just random unhealthy shit thrown together but they taste awesome. I'd imagine their sodium content would make KFC cringe. Granite, you're only suppose to, and most people could only eat a small portion anyways. There's probably 2lb of food in the order I got.

I ate half, and feel slightly sluggish, even my brain has seemed to downshift. This pic isn't mine, I don't have my phone with me to take one. What I got had about 2x as much Pastrami and maybe 1/2lb of bacon.. I washed it down with a local DIPA (9%) so I'm just about ready to nap, or pass out maybe.

Got Popeyes tonight, this on the receipt made me chuckle

"Appletoday@popeyes.jobstojoinourTeamUneteanuestroequipoenpopeyes.jobs"

Who the hell came up with that damn URL? LOL. I'd expect popeyes.com/jobs or something, I I dunno not 100 characters long. Oddly enough the URL doesn't resolve for me, maybe I typed a letter wrong I dunno. That's easily the longest URL I've seen, and all to apply to work at Popeyes. The random unnecessary caps in the URL will probably throw a lot of people off.

Tried BK's new Ghost Pepper whopper. Orange bun, looked awesome in person! Actually had some spice, but it was like a Spicy Dorito heat level, so - pretty decent for a fast-food burger! Mine was a tad dry so I'd order it with some extra mayo next time.

Tried the new Sausage Burger from BK. Stole a pic off google as I can't seem to find it anywhere. The concept is sausage & peppers on a bun, but it's like, their breakfast sausage, so it feels like it should be served for breakfast instead lol. Not bad, borderline intense (like when things are just below TOO salty).

The Hat - offers something close to this with there Pastrami Chili Cheese Fries. Never ate them but have seen them in person and they are gluttonous orgy of food!

Those are good and the order's stupidly big, even for American portions. Dunno about the rest of the country, but Pastrami Chili Cheese Fries are fairly common in So Cal. The combination doesn't make sense to me, but they're delicious together.

Looks more like an email address to me, maybe it's specific to whoever owns that specific Popeye's (and URLs aren't typically case sensitive anyway).

Fortunately/unfortunately I have multiple Popeyes within easy range (including one that's open till like 3am!) and all of them are fine quality/taste-wise!

I HATE driving within scent-range of that place with the munchies!

:D

Oh man I have all these coupons from them to get five pieces fried chicken, two biscuits, and two sides (obviously red beans & rice, who the hell would order a different side?) for $9. Got a Popeye's insert in the weekly that gets thrown in the yard, saw it and the deal, thought oh shit picked up another from a neighbor who just lets them sit for a month in his driveway. Turns out each insert had 4 coupons so now I gotta eat at Popeyes 8 times before the end of the year when the deal expires lol.

Speaking of coupons, also in that same paper got some Whataburger coupons and one of them was order a #1-#6 Whatameal combo and get one of their new chiliburgers free. So since I usually get the #2 combo with a double cheeseburger I figured I'd just get a single #5 (bacon cheeseburger) combo since I was getting another burger free with it when I went on Saturday. Figured the chiliburger would be a single. Nope, this free chiliburger was a gargantuan double cheeseburger loaded with chili, onions, and fritos, I mean it was one of the heaviest burgers I have ever seen from a fast food place. So ate that and had to take my bacon cheeseburger home and put it in the fridge and take a huge nap after. Pretty good burger too, but jeez saw on my receipt that the burger alone costs $8.30. For that price I'd just go to Chris Madrids or Chesters (local burger places that crush Whataburger). But I'll eat them for free with my remaining coupons for sure.

Well, Popeye's fries are damn tasty, and red beans & rice are straight nasty, so me for one.

Tried the Ghost Whopper too, before I even ordered.

A single, quarter lb burger's NINE DOLLARS??? I could get a 4x4 & fries at In-N-Out for less, but I wanted to try it. BK does have a $7 with a small fry deal in their mobile app. But the 7 or so times I've used it over the past year, it always sends you a stupid code to your email for some form of 2-step verification. Welp, I forgot about this and tried to use the app in the drive thru and of course didn't receive the email until a few minutes after I left with the food.

1st bite, I noticed was the patty was dry as hell. The only burger I eat there (rarely) is the Bacon King, this is the same patty and the Bacon Kings I get are more juicy than this. I think the lack of their standard half a cup slathering of Mayo or some sauce didn't help.

It's surprisingly hefty for a wimpy 1/4lb burger, and my bacon was crispy and delicious. As for the heat, it doesn't deserve to be called a Ghost Pepper Whopper, but with that said there's more heat than I expected. Not much up front, but there's a decent bit of afterburn that sticks around. I'd say it's 3/10 heat, but I typically eat Ghost Pepper Chicken Fries from a local spot that give me stomach cramps. So my 3/10 wouldn't translate well to most people. I think for a normal person this would be pretty spicy, but unless you can't even handle Tabasco, it's not gonna be that bad.

I liked it more than I thought I would, if the patty was more juicy I'd go get another tomorrow. It'll be off the menu the day after Halloween and knowing BK they'll run out far before then. So I probably won't have another. IMHO it's good enough they should ditch the orange bun with black sesame seeds and just put it on the menu as a regular item. While I wish it was spicier, this is the hottest thing I've had at a fast-food chain in a long time. And it actually tastes pretty good, I like the cheese, and the cheese sauce and no mayo squirting out with every bite's a plus. Their fries are as terrible as ever, these are my least favorite fast food fries maybe ever. With that said, I still ate half a small order lol.

Points off for the stupid price, $7 would be alright, $9's just crazy.
and also fuck the stupid mobile app that they feel needs to be more secure than my damn credit union.

truff nacho fries were a disappointment:

FfS0D_9XwAIt_MO.jpg

tiny (dollar for scale) and the special truff hot sauce was pretty much lost behind the nacho cheese and sour cream.

Went to BK to see if they still had any Ghost Whoppers left, and the girl working trolled me pretty good

"Welcome to Burger King"
"can I get a Ghost Pepper Whopper combo?"
"Sorry, we're out of the buns, we're also out of the crispy jalapenos the sauce and the cheese *small pause* would you still like one?"

Basically she was asking if I wanted a normal whopper ha.
