How do you get to the construction kit? Supposedly it's out but I haven't seen an update, and I don't see any new menu choices or files with dates later than 2/1.
this.

I was under the impression that it allowed more than 4 GB to be used, but it looks like you may be right. That does seem like a pretty bad oversight in an era where many gamers run 64 bit operating systems and often have 12 or more MB of RAM.
It's under tools in Steam menu, if it's up yet. I've got the hi-res pack. I see why they didn't include it originally. Maxed vram walking around Whiterun. You have to get really close to things before they start to blur. Lighting is different, everything is clearer in Breezehome now, you can actually see books in the stands now. Shadows still suck in interior of Breezehome by the fire. Totally changed view distances, I had everything maxed before, now 3 of them are at 60% or so, others about 30 to 40%. Haven't changed anything yet, 1300 vram outside, but pop-in isn't as noticable. How do you get to the construction kit? Thanks. Must not have been downloaded by my client yet, since I don't see it in the tools list. Some people on the Steam forum are already reporting some issues with it, so I assume it's out.
Wish there was a concrete way to see the history of downloaded updates in Steam. When I go to properties/updates/update history it just takes me to the news page.
How do the official hi-res textures compare to the mod?
Not worried that the monster levels will surpass your combat ability?
Raven how's your Xfire handling it?
Like crap, the game looked and handled better with all my previous mods!
Thank god I kept my fully modified version backed up in my RAID0 drive, otherwise I'd be stabbing my self with a fork right now.
I don't suppose the texture pack is something that can be installed uninstalled as easily as other mods? I'd like it start downloading it, but I don't want it to suddenly make the game unplayable for me without being able to remove it...
I finally bought the game (just built my PC last week) and got the official HD textures as well. The game looks absolutely amazing. I grabbed a couple of other mods too (SkyUI, CBBE) and they all run awesomely. I can't wait to get home and play some more.
dude, try not to get fired.
