Anyone know if an i5-2500k, 8gb ram, 128gb m4 ssd, and 2gb sapphire 6950 would be able to run it at max (1920x1080)?

Should be just fine. I am running 1680x1050, but that is more or less the exact specs of my new system (minus ssd), and I went from running at a little above medium to max, plus a bunch of mods to make things look even better. I haven't been able to play much, so I can't comment on my current stability, but frame rates are not an issue at all.

Protip: Press Q to bring up the quick menu. Then, hold down a number key (1 through 8) while hovering over a item or spell to assign a hotkey to it. Quick way to switch items in battle.

any chance i could get you guys (esp. with nice(r) systems) to post some pictures to motivate me to buy a game, new, for $60 for the first time in years?

I have the PS3 version but built this new PC for Skyrim...but now I'm fooling myself into believing there will be a sale (i know there will not lol) soon.

Anyone know if an i5-2500k, 8gb ram, 128gb m4 ssd, and 2gb sapphire 6950 would be able to run it at max (1920x1080)?

Check this out.

Pretty much identical to my system except I have an older i5 quadcore (i5-750) and run at 1920x1200.

I run with max AF, but no AA. No performance issues.

uh, yeah. I have an I5-2500k @ 4.5 ghz, 4gb of ram, and a GTX460 and run it at 1920x1200. Some slowdowns with very graphical intensive fights, but those are rare. I have another 4gb of ram sitting on my desk I need to get put in the pc.

@slag, open console, then click.

So, apparently Beth is going to add official LAA support in the next few weeks. I'm shocked.

Nope, did not resurrect him. I could kill and resurrect horses, bears, whatever, but not this guy. His name is Eltrys btw.

Ok, I need tips on pickpocketing. I hadn't messed with it during the first several dozen hours of play but now I want to put some work into that skill. However, it seems I'm so awful at it that I get caught no matter what I steal - even while the person is asleep!

I don't want to lose out on how the game is supposed to be played. I only like to mod/cheat after I beat a game. I don't want it to take away from what the developers wanted me to view it as.

I doesn't change anything gameplay wise, they are all high-res texture replacements.

1.3 seems to have improved stability for me,no CTD yet however I did read over at their forums some players are still getting CTD.

I'll say the 1.3 patch is right move in right direction and I'm still enjoying playing the game except for those damn dragons lol they must be breeding somewhere since I'm fighting them so often even after finishing main storyline.

For starters, I'd get some enchanted gear to use at especially low levels. The homeless old lady that lingers near the entrance to Windhelm can train you (as can at least one member of the Thieves' Guild, I believe). To level up, you should start with the easy things. That means the items with the lowest value. At low levels, never try to steal gold, and don't even think about equipped weapons and armor. Any/all of those will get you caught. Then again, getting caught only matters if you're messing with townspeople. If you have very high sneak, you can practice pickpocketing enemies, and your skill can/will increase even if you get caught, but that doesn't matter since you're going to kill them anyway.

First of all, keep in mind that you can freely "inspect" anyone with no fear of getting caught. Once you open up the pickpocket menu, hover over the items, and look at the success % for each item at the bottom right corner. It can be pretty low for heavy items, and the highest it can get is 90%.

The success chance depends on the weight and value of the item. Don't try to steal shit like weapons or armor. Start off by stealing light and cheap stuff like iron rings and such, or small amounts of gold. If you follow these steps, you'll get better in no time, as it's really easy to level pickpocketing. Sometimes I get two skill-ups from the same person.

And make sure you always save before you do it!

pickpocketing is one of the most useful skill in my opinion. dump one skill point into it to increase your success rate and then start going after small items (sweet rolls). the thieves guild has some pretty decent armor to increase your chances too. once you get up to 40ish you can start going after bigger things in anyone's inventory.

my personal favorite is to steal arrows from all the guards. i never run out.

other awesome things to do with a decent pickpocket skill deals with bounties. you must be part of the theives guild to do this; however, if you get caught doing something bad in town (murder, trespassing, pickpocketing) tell the guard that you are part of the guild and pay them off. they take care of the paperwork and you are allowed to go on your merry way. before the guard that catches gets too far away pickpocket the gold that you just gave him for your bounty. s/he is none the wiser and you aren't out any coin.

you can also pickpocket trainers to get your gold back after a successful training session.
