Oh, and yeah. This is so far the hardest enemy i've had to face.

I had to face him and a dragon simultaneously.

Killed him and that dragon that is right near by earlier tonight. I like the helm/mask he dropped

I only did enough of the mainquest to trigger the dragons appearance. Otherwise, I'm quite happy just exploring, admiring, killing and looting.

Yea same here. I haven't even gone to see the Greybeards yet, and I'm level 34. I've only been to 3 major towns too, Whiterun, Riften, and the one that is the home base of the Stormcloaks (forget the name right now). I still have a ton to do just in these towns, and I haven't gone and done much with the major quest lines like the thieves guild, mages guild, bard college, stormcloaks/empire questline, companions, dark brotherhood, etc.

I think I'm gonna split the content through two playthroughs. I'm really enjoying my hybrid archer/1h+shield, but I want to play more of a mage or at least battlemage character as well (I've casted only a single spell in this entire playthrough, and that was a fire spell that I needed to cast for one of my quests), and I'm not sure I'll enjoy doing many of the more mundane quests over again. I feel like theres enough content in here to get two characters to level 50+ without repeating anything, which is fucking awesome.

Can't wait for some of the really good mods to start coming out.

He's in a word temple near Whiterun towards the east, into the mountains north of the greybeards temple.

You'll run across him when doing the mission to get the jagged crown from some ruins.

Also, is it just me or does it seem like being anything but a nord bad is a bad thing? I picked wood elf for the ranged advantage but every other day I get lectured about how all elves are d**ks for making the empire even bigger d**ks

Do the mage's college quest line, it's not that long and you get a sweet robe and mask/hood by the end of it.

Does anyone else have little issue with alt tabbing back into game?

I always have to do it twice, first time it just has sounds and i have to click on an open window and alt tab and its working fine.

There are so much potential for mods, its just mind boggling

Ya the only issue I had with alt-tabbing was 1 crash. It worked well but I find that running the borderlass window mod works better.

) in Dragon Age: Origins, at the Denerim's Elven Alienage. That quest in Markarth has a similar flavor to it, although a bit more extreme but it's similar in some ways. I hope there's more surprises like that in other quests.

HDR means fire can literally blind you:

This article here explains how you can achieve such high draw distances, though it may require a new save-game. However, one of the comments offers a way to apply these tweaks without losing your old saves.

I'm level 8 atm, and giants/mammoths are kicking my ass. I ended up buying the tusk for its quest instead of hunting mammoths. Giants always oneshot me no matter what I do, they even followed me into water (someone earlier suggested that they wouldn't.)

The most frustrating thing is that, when I engage dragons, giants will end up taking aggro, killing the dragon, and then proceed to kill me.

I also hate how you cannot give your companions any commands during a fight. Can't talk to them while fighting.

Toughest dragon fight so far. Drusilla got caught in the open by a frost dragon near the mammoth cemetary and not even an elk to distract the dragon. Was just her and her flame atronach. Wearing no protection against frost attacks, she came very close to dying.
