Here's a future essential UI mod in the making, it was inevitable, and in my humble opinion needed. I looked at the previews in the mod's thread, and all I can say is that God exists.

The UI really needs help. I find i have to double click most things, and even then the wrong option is chosen. Also, the "pointer" accuracy is atrocious. When i wait or sleep i can never seem to "grab" that damn slider.

Oh thank goodness.

I just can't get enough of this game. Although, it's tough for me, because I'm also stuck on BF3 at the same time. There are not enough hours in the day! I swear every time I look at a clock, hours have passed since I last looked.

I've been playing as a Wood Elf Archer, and love the DPS from a distance! There aren't many enemies that give me trouble, other than bosses and the loads of dragons that track me down! I swear, dragons hunt me down - every other time I fast travel there's one waiting for me!

Maybe they hate wood elves :sneaky:

So yesterday I spammed making iron daggers with some minimal enchanting too so that I could get my Smithing up to 100 and bonus my enchanting some. So I now have full Dragon Plate Armor, upgraded to Legendary, and a Daedric Sword upgraded to Legendary. Also it put me now at level 30. And I get killed by a random group of bandits with swords shortly after. I have little trouble with Dragons, but bandits with sword killed me. And I got most of them in single combat, it was when I got double teamed that I couldn't keep up.

That UI does look a 100x better, but honestly - I've had no issue with the one the game has. We've just been spoiled since these games are moddable and thus, if we don't like it we change it. Gotta love the TES community - "giving you things you didn't even know you wanted"

sure the game has many rough spots, but the there are just soo much more things to do and graphic seems amazing on many places when the light's hitting just right.

with mods, this has so much potential.

ooh, first crash when I exited the high... grey beard place. I passed the trials and exit the building and bam, black screen and high pitch noise. had to reset but it seems ok now.

How many levels did you gain by leveling to 100? I'm guessing like 4-5 levels?

I leveled Smithing to 100 last night. I was at level 24 with Smithing at able to make Orcish but not able to make Ebony (can't remember my exact number). When I was finished and at 100 Smithing my level was 30. I admit I also gained some in Enchanting and probably a few ranks in one or two other skills too. But it was 90-95% Smithing.

I just went to every town and every blacksmith and bought all their iron ingots and iron ore and a bunch of leather. I'd make leather strips, iron ingots, and use them (1 each) to smith hundreds of iron daggers. Sell most of those back, maybe enchant a few to increase the value and your enchanting, repeat. Eventually I ran out of money and had to do some minor adventuring to replenish my money (kill a dragon get a few hundred gold and some dragon bones to sell).

I just visited the Skyrim Nexus. I now understand what you guys are saying about the Mods. Linking off a Kotaku article, I have just witnessed the power of Mods. Genuinely got me excited, and totally made me say 'screw the console versions'. I'll be downloading off of Steam shortly.

I'm getting that feeling that I'm pretty gimped in many combat scenarios.

I have conjuring leveled..and some one handed..I tend to summon a Fire Astronach and If I can assasinate someone I'll reanimate dead on them...

Still though..It seems I may just need to make a pure mage..with perhaps some stealthing. They seem to have some crazy AOE ability.

Dark Elf Wizard FTW?

wisp mother and group of witch just pwned my ass...

Only major challenges I've had so far are unique "boss" NPCs, a wisp mother, and a blood dragon. Not so much the last one as I never had to reload a hundred times, just had to use a lot of potions.

Weekend finally here. I'm still stuck in the lower right quadrant of the map at level 20. Slowly hoarding gold - tink I'm close to $20k now; real life habits carrying over:).

Thinking if Alteration would be worth Persuing with my Orc Zerker.

2H/Heavy Armor/Restoration so far..

Alteration sounds good for the magic absorption perk...along with of course the boosts.

Anyone else getting buggy blocky looking flames? Looks like something from minecraft. The flames are basically black squares with the actual flame "picture" on them.
