Playing Oblivian, thinking about getting Morrowind (and modding it a lot!). How does Morrowind stack up vs Skyrim? I heard it was the best one of all.

I recently bought Morrowind on Steam so I could mod it up, and I've been having fun with it. Even with mods, the graphics aren't quite up to par with the newer games, but the game itself is very similar in mechanics and gameplay.

no more DLC? ugh shit. i was hopeing for one more huge addon.

Me too.
3 only had Tribunal and Bloodmoon, but they were both big and included plenty of extra goodies.

4 had Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine, which also included all those little dinky DLC's. Shivering Isles was awesome, with a whole new area that was completely original.

5 just has three and they add a little content but as popular as the game is I think folks were hoping for more.

Good news is if they are making Fallout 4 then I'm still happy. In fact the Fallout games tend to get more stuff in the way of official add-ons. Each one had like 5 (though one just added items and shopkeepers).

Did anybody ever make a house mod with inventory sorting?
I seriously cant find one.

Theres like 50 for New Vegas. Including ones that let you craft from stuff in your containers.

OK, shorty is currently downloading 10 gigs of misc. shit from the Nexus. Thank god for the file manager.

I suspect I may need to start up a new game.

Gonna do a khajit ninja.

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/17058//?

It's only for Proudspire Manor, but it's got every crafting station and buttons that auto-sort various items into different containers. It also has every altar, so you can switch between blessings really easily.

Alright, after uninstalling the game, reinstalling the game, and enabling the mods from scratch, everything works again.
Before it was crashing every 2 minutes.

Also, Khajit make excellent ninjas.

Just started playing this again after a long time away. The first time was without mods and I didn't get far into the main quest.

This time, with ENB and a bunch of mods, wow. Just wow. There are times when this is easily the best looking game I've ever played.

Weird. I thought that was the normal background for the skills menu... Maybe I've had mods for so long I can't even remember what vanilla is like.

Does Skyrim have a lot of pop-in like Fallout 3?

Like in Fallout 3 you'll be walking and you'll think its an empty valley and then BAM a house pops in when you are 200 feet away. Kinda breaks the immersion a little bit.

Is it like that in Skyrim too?

in all those games you can change settings to push the view way out. but it needs lots of horsepower.

yeah but stuff still changes when you walk around, even with draw distance maxed out. the trees and stuff all shift around you. like a mountain will look kinda bald but then when you are actually on it theres a bunch of trees and trashcans and stuff.

does skyrim do that too?

Yes. Entire structures will still pop in on max draw distance.

You can extend the distance by modifying some of the Skyrim.ini parameters.....don't remember which ones, but there are several guides out there for it.

again, on all games thats fixable with the advanced settings. you can have max detail at max range.

but I doubt any video card currently on the market could handle it.

I really wish removing torches didnt break invisibility.

FYI my assassin is shaping up nicely. I got lucky and found Invisibility in a chest while scouting some ruins.
With some rings and stuff reducing the cost, I can cast it frequently and crank up my skill.

During my ban I got a shitload accomplished. Moved forward with my character a lot, did some important quests, did some side quests. Outfitted most of my favorite companions with some sweet armor and such.

Are there any nice khajiit girls for me to marry? I cant find one.
