I'm sort of wondering what sabotaging us with inaction on the pandemic would look like compared to his admin's business as usual?

I think you said this a few years ago and it was one of the truest things about this administration..

To paraphrase:.

"When given a choice of doing nothing, or doing something... Trump doing something always ends worse then doing nothing".

It does sound familiar.

So riddle me this: Did Biden win because he was such a better choice than Trump, or did Biden win because Trump was such a worse choice than him? Something of both? Neither? Then what?
Mainly because Trump is one of the worst presidents in modern history, if not the absolute worst. Even still, nearly 48% of voters wanted him to stay for another term. Like a few of us have opined in this thread, we're very relieved and grateful for a win, but the election results overall are incredibly disturbing. I haven't even had my celebratory beer yet even though the race was finally called yesterday.

Are they maybe pointing to those supposedly 300k missing mail-in ballots in Texas? Or just, you know, conveniently ignoring that? lol

I looked into that more. Looks like it involved a number of facilities and some of them weren't in Texas. USPS says once they got busy enough, basically it triggered protocol where those ballots were expedited and skipped a scan, but that nothing was lost or misplaced. Apparently this protocol was why they felt brave enough to tell the judge that sent the court order, no thanks, we got it. I guess we'll see. I'm still not sure what to think about really, but it definitely needs more scrutiny. You shouldn't be able to tell a judge to piss off with that court order.

Trump ignoring the dead vote was what lost him the election. A Twitter guy said Biden got all the dead votes, and apparently, there were like 100,000 of them.

Definitely because he wasn't Trumpity Dumpity. But wonder if any of the other Dem candidates would have stood a chance?

Watching Rudy on Fox is always fun. Rudy is rattling on over accusations about ballots for Biden being ran thru twice, ballots taken away to back rooms and altered from Trump to Biden, and Rudy went on and on. So the Fox anchor asked if Rudy had proof and Rudy replies “we have affidavits signed by witness. So that is the so called proof they are taking to the courts. The entire interview was like one of those alien abduction tv shows. Crazy people like Rudy claiming to have been alien abducted. I don’t get it. They know, Rudy knows, everyone including Fox News knows that Rudy has nothing. The lawsuits are nothing, so why are they screwing around with this? I think it’s to further poison Trump’s base against a Biden presidency and to continue the stolen election conspiracy. Or, just to screw up the process with making it as hard as possible for Biden and Harris. Or, in giving Trump an excuse to not concede, ever. If Trump and Rudy can implant this conspiracy of voter fraud and election stealing into the minds of 70 million people, those people who voted for Trump, then 70 million people will never trust or accept Joe Biden for the next 4 years. Those 70 million can claim that Joe Biden is not a legitimate president. And.... Donald Trump would certainly do that because this is how Donald Trump operates, petty, evil, revengeful, and down right mean.

I'm not quite sure which is worse, but I only see two possibilities:
1) Is Trump so demented and self-deluded from his self-inflicted echo chamber, that he actually believes he won
2) Or else Trump is deliberately lying again, and just wants to burn down the country on his way out

And either way, how are we leaving someone that unhinged in control of the US nuclear codes?

Of course he is. And he'll probably do it going into next year. He has his cult following and they'll deny reality forever. This country is basically fucked going into the future with the amount followers he has.

How is this not an attempt by a foreign power to discredit all our institutions and democracy? It's the only damn thing that makes sense.

I've said before, all his lawyers should be disbarred for incompetence.

Why is it their fault? A lawyer is only as good as his case. They can't manufacture evidence of voting fraud which doesn't exist. But they can collect fees for filing suits which have no chance of prevailing. If someone wants to pay them to do that, they have no reason to refuse.

R. Giuliani is the ugliest person I can remember seeing. Saw him railing about the fraud he's going to be accusing the Democrats of tomorrow in various courts. He's a hideous human being. Eric Trump is a filthy liar and I doubt he will ever be anything more. He was standing right there with Rudy and acting for all the world like his shit stain of a father, and he should know better, but no, he's a chip off the old turd.

Disgraceful. And anyone attending such events except as an observer or reporter is a disgrace for this nation. Shame on them all.

No reason other than that they as conscientious human beings refuse to cast aspersions and doubt upon their fellow human beings that are unfounded. To sell your soul for money is damning.

That's a different argument than the one I replied to though. I was replying to someone who said they were "incompetent." Unethical and incompetent are two different things.

Most attorneys will take money from whoever wants to give it to them, BTW. Indeed, most Americans will.

That’s what I keep pointing out. These Trump’s are arrogant as hell. They feel so privileged that they believe themselves to be entitled to whatever they want including the presidency of the United States. This is some pretty fucked up family, obviously. No matter how or why Donald Trump lost this election, Trump was going to refuse the outcome and insist on attacking the result. Trump began his planning way back when Trump started screwing with the postal system and immediately labeled as conspiracy the very act of mailing in ballots. It didn’t matter. Trump could be attacking the vote, attacking the states that went against Trump, attacking the type of ink used to print the ballots, it didn’t matter. Trump would have attacked the ballot counters, attacked the voters themselves as fraudulent corrupt people. Trump would have attacked the weather conditions if necessary claiming that rain unjustly hampered republican turnout. IT DIDN’T MATTER... Donald Trump was going to attack any outcome where he wasn’t elected president no matter what. The Donald Trump family gave up tremendous political power and tremendous control by losing and they simply refuse to accept that as reality. When the current legal attempts fail in court don’t be surprised if they do go after weather conditions. Let’s see Trump and Rudy take weather conditions to the courts... But they will if necessary.
