Just means both sides were highly motivated to vote. Despite the possible covid consequences, I think trumps rallies didnt really change anyone's mind, but they might well have motivated a lot of people to get out and vote. And of course there were a huge number who wanted to get rid of Trump.

If the Dems can peel off one of the GA senate seats (Warnock looks most likely) there is a way to 50 seats if they can find something super cushy for Pat Toomey to do for 4 years. Willing to bet that the right appointment would be FAR more enticing than sitting around in the Senate for 2 more years doing fuck all and he's getting out of politics anyway.
