k, I'm sick of the Danica Show. Do us old school NASCAR fans give a rats ass about her? Are any of her "fans" who hope she wrecks and they cut her clothes off still awake or are they in bed by now? Then I have one question for FOX - WHO GIVES A F*CK?

Give it a few weeks... the novelty will wear off fast.
 
Unfortunately she's running a full Busch (or whatever they call it) schedule. The likelihood of her cooling off is very unlikely.

Just an aside those of us in the Syracuse area are pretty darned happy right now... #2 (please) SU b-ball, the lacrosse team beat Army yesterday, and Mr Smith is leading Daytona 😀
 
Just when you think that this race can't get weirder... someone crashes into the track drying truck and catches the track on fire 🙂

Wow, Pablo has done something even Earnhardt didn't do.

I used to refuel planes when I was in the Air Force... trust me that JP-5 they use will eat that track for lunch. That's only 200 GL... I had used to run 5000 gallons of JP-4 - the real stuff - on my back. The biggest problem with jet fuel (regardless of which flavor) will burn so hot it will ignite every thing around it and it will take a long time to get it under control.

I think the race is over. JP-5, while isn't quite the "real thing", burns hot enough to vaporize the asphalt. Going to be interesting to see if this even goes any further.

Edit - it's burning so hot they still are having a tough time cooling it off.
 
glad they finally decided pissing on it wasn't accomplishing anything and got the real equipment out
 
I can't believe that a car with a "Ollie's Bargain Discount Outlet" sponsorship is probably going to win the Daytona 500. 🙂
 
When Earnhardt ran over a rotor going into three and cut down his tire giving the race to Derrick Cope in the 1990 Daytona I stopped scratching my head like Curious George wondering why things happen.
