There is no reason to not create a sticky thread or to create numerous reposts about the same movie. I know you are a bible thumper, but it isn't that hard for you to understand that 75 threads about the same topic are not needed, and will not force me to go see the movie and become a Christian.

Maybe I missed some, but I counted about 5 threads related to the movie out of the first 100 threads in OT. And several of them are really different topics that don't go together in 1 thread. Mel Gibson possibly being blacklisted does not belong in the same thread as general discussion of whether or not the movie is anti-semitic.

You really shouldn't assume things without having some clue what you are talking about. I don't even own a bible, I've never read the bible, I don't go to church, I'm not religious at all. The last time I was in a church was about 3 years ago for my grandfather's funeral. So I'm not even close to being a "bible thumper" as you put it.

Same argument was used about the War in Iraq. A stickied thread was created, because there were new topics continually about it.

But there is a lot of controversy about this movie and people have a lot to talk about. There are too many different related topics to put it all in one thread. It's just like the Atkins threads. There is a difference between a thread asking if Atkins is a good idea and a thread asking for some detailed information about what you can and can't eat on Atkins.

I fail to see how having to ignore 5 or 10 threads about a movie really affects your life.

Do a search. There are a lot more than 5-10.
Not including the nonsense ones of the last few minutes, there are 19. Not the "75" or "100" that you proclaim.

I said 5 out of 100.
Not 5 total.

The point is that I would much rather have 5 posts I can ignore instead of having your stupid sarcasm posts that I actually waste my time clicking on because the title makes it sound like a serious post, when in reality it is a stupid and pointless attempt at humor. Now that is actually irritating.

I also really don't want to have forum space wasted with threads about how you tie your shoes or how long it's been since you had fried chicken. But I just ignore those ones and get on with my life.

I haven't started 20 threads in the past week, but thanks for being obsessed with me enough to notice.

Actually, there are 18 that are related to the movie. The 19th hit is about somebody hating their roommate with a passion.

I guess you don't have full text search do you? I counted at least 35 and stopped about 20 threads from the top

The funny part is that since your post, there are now twice as many.

A full text search would be pointless... I just did a title search.

And yes, I am still a subscriber. :p

What's your point?
Nobody is making you do a Passion of Christ search.
And I wasn't talking about how many total threads there are.

How many threads show up when you browse the first few pages of OT?
How hard is it for you to ignore those 5 threads?
Honestly, is it that big of a deal?

For someone that searches for and reads my posts you would think that you have gotten the idea of my false hyperbole now. I guess you and Wingz both miss it considering you both went searching for the true number of threads, and you jumped all over me for saying that you beat your Bible. I was wrong about the 75, there are more like 150 now.

I'm serious.
I don't understand why people feel the need to complain about the starting of threads that they aren't interested in.

How does it hurt you if there is a thread you aren't interested in?

In fact,
How does it hurt you if there are 10 threads about the same subject that you aren't interested?

Is it some kind of compulsion you have where you have to click on every single thread title even if you don't want to read about it?

What the fvck is the problem with this nice easy solution:
DONT CLICK THE TITLE OF THREADS YOU DONT WANT TO READ OR COMMENT ON

Problem solved.

Seems like to me you solved your own problems. Go ahead and contradict yourself

Same could be said for your post. It did nothing but fuel the flames you were supposedly trying to quell. There are more people that want the threads to stop than want new ones to continue.
