Pretty neat, but a blue screen joke? Really?

I don't like BSOD jokes, there's nothing funny about BSOD's. My Vista BSOD'ed 4 times today from a Network card driver and there's NO SOLUTION FOR IT! That scene hit too close to home to be funny to me.

Sad that my Vista box crashes more than my Win 98 box dod, yeah Microsoft!!

Spend 20$ on a network card that works? I would say buy one made in the last 8 years, but you would probably insist it was only a week old.

If you have something really unique that isn't vista compatible then feel free to complain, but there really is no excuse to use a network card that isn't working.

I don't think I have seen a BSOD since windows 98, but maybe It's just me not running hardware made before even XP was on the horizon.

Edit: I'm always late to the party :(

The NIC isn't old, the MB's a p35 chipset and by all accounts should work flawlessly with Vista. Seeing how millions of people have p35 MB's with the same onboard NIC . Yes I could go by a $20 PCI NIC card and fix the problem, but the problem isn't my computer. My XP (same box) never BSOD's from the NIC. My Vista, sometimes 2-3 times a day. There's NO old hardware in this box, and since XP gives me zero problems, I have to go with "Vista sucks" it might be good for a lot of people. But, I can see why so many people bitch about it.

ROFL what? Millions of people have no problems with the NIC + Vista, but you do so it's automatically Vista's fault.

:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

Some people just see what they WANT to see. He said he had XP on the same box with no error. Yeah, I'd probably blame Vista too if another OS worked.

I've had the same problems with Vista only with a video card and external monitor support. Worked fine in XP. SP1 came out for Vista and I tried it again. Same result in Vista.

Sure, blame the hardware. ANYTHING but Vista, right?

Sounds more like a vendor issue than a Microsoft Problem. Consider getting an Intel PCI-e gigabit ethernet adapter with built in I/O Processor and you should have no more issues.

From production view point, it's very well done, even the casting was very good.

Agreed. This is definitely a driver issue. The driver works fine for XP, so it makes sense that you don't have problems with the onboard NIC in that environment.

So is this like the only place on the Interwebs where people actually defend Vista? Keep pushing the rock up the mountain, guys.

Man, that video would have been funny like, 10 years ago. Or is it that old?
Mabey it's a legacy joke.

Vista is a piece of shit until further notice. Not sure why that is unreasonable.

Can't be that old because they claim the Matrix runs on Windows XP even though the movie came out in '99, two and half years before XP.

Seriously do you really belive MS can create an OS on it's own? WinXP was derived from the Matrox; but MS f---ed it up with proprietary junk.

Just like what MS has done (in the past) with Sun Java and Web Standards, they did to the great and once stable Matrix XP OS.

Solution: is an Intel EXPI9401PT Dual Port NIC with Jumbo Frame Support. You may be asking why two ports, well one you set to use standard sized frames for your ISP the second port can be connected to a Jumbo Frame Switch for fast LAN speeds. When transferring data at gigabit speeds, The built in I/O processor will take a decent sized load off the CPU while simultaneously enabling higher bandwidth and lower latency.

DOS should be given the stability awarded, for the most stable MS product to be released. Granted, some third party apps or drivers may have caused it to crash; but by default DOS is rock solid.

You don't even know who Farrah Fawcett or Billy Mays is. It's a wonder they're actually using a version of windows that even HAS a blue screen in NZ.

It was funny. You are not. Them > you.
