I'll continue watching. I have a feeling it will be like Lost (due to show creator) - lots of mystery, with a slow reveal of some answers and more mystery.

I thought it was intriguing but I find it hard to see how they will be able to maintain that without telling us anything about what actually happened (kind of like Lost in that respect). Not sure about the goofy cult. It could prove to be a worthwhile show, but at this point I think it's more likely to end up as another John from Cincinnati than to be the next Sopranos.

I want to know what is up with the black guy the congressman went to see. Is he supposed to be some self-proclaimed prophet or what?

Is this a religious show? It has to do with the Rapture, right? If so, pass.

They do not say if it is the rapture, no one knows. If it is the rapture then many kids were left. I liked how the news station was showing celebrities who were taken and Gary Busey was one of them lol

Unless the show has a specific limited number of episodes set ahead of time it will be crap. You can't do a good job telling a story in this manner and have it randomly stretch on until such time they decide to call quits and end the show.

I thought the first ep was mostly decent. I'll give it the benefit of the doubt for a few more viewings.

I watched it last Sunday.

All the reviews saying it was Phenomenal! Spectacular! Mezmerizing! are pretty overblown, it was all setup up at this point and seemed a bit boring to me.

What happens in the next two will decide it for me also I imagine.

That being said, it looks they are setting things up, things could get very interesting real fast in the second one, as they came in and explained the little three year after the event that was related happened.

That being said even a grace period and the dogs and the fact it obviously centers around a rapture event directly ties it in to religion to begin with.

I'll be watching it out of curiosity to see where it goes from here.

I thought the first one was okay too...but want to see at least a couple more before I make a real judgement.

I do agree that Andie MacDowell's daughter is incredibly attractive.

Lost lost me as a fan of a show like this. I liked Lost early on and was disappointed. I don't see this ending any other way. As much as I like HBO shows.

I didn't see Andie MacDowell.
Justin Theroux's character's daughter is hot.
Wanted to like the show but it was mostly boring. I'll give it two more episodes.

Watched episodes 1 and 2 over the weekend. Can't say I was overly impressed. The cult of silent people seems incredibly stupid, and the cult with the black guy hording all those Asian girls is incredibly creepy (and a lot more realistic).

I don't see this going very far. Might end up getting super cheesy though.

That show is just strange, don't know what to make of it or if I will continue to watch. I'm going to give it one more episode just to make sure.

I like some of the stuff shown in the second episode more than the first. Showing dementia runs in the family of the sheriff, and then showing that certain things may or may not be true. I really liked the scene with the bagel, and that it still leaves doubts about the man in the truck.

Sad to say, I am increasingly thinking my comparison to John from Cincinnati may be right. The silent, smoking cult is just incredibly silly. This feels like a waste of a strong cast.

There has to be a purpose behind that cult and them recruiting. I don't mind them revealing it slowly (say, as the sheriff discovers it), but so far they do look incredibly stupid.
