Images will just get better from this point on. The calibration/testing phase is complete. For certain objects, they'll give long observation times.

Why do we need a word like exoplanet when almost all planets are outside the solar system?

Why do we need a word like exoplanet when almost all planets are outside the solar system?
Our solar system does have planets. We can do away with the word exoplanets but then we would have to call our own planets, endoplanets.

ie: broke away from orbiting it's sun

no, planets that is not part of the Solar System. Basically almost all the planets in the universe are exoplanets.

Waiting for j.Webb to show us a Dyson sphere :eek:

If an alien civilization is advanced enough to make a Dyson sphere, we won't need the JWST to show it... because they'll probably make their presence very obvious!

That would be scary. Imagine a whole planet hurtling through space. Imagine the damage it would cause on impact.

But planets are so big that they sink in the gravity well of the star they break off from during initial stages of star formation. They don't have the exit velocity to escape the huge central mass's gravity they try to get away from.
