I feel like if the genders were reversed and you had a teenage male running away with an older female family friend, the narrative of a plot to kill the boy's parents and run away together would write itself.

And what would the narrative be? Media condemning the female and not the male, or vice versa?

Usually the media cannonizes the underage innocent females in cases like this, even though they used their poon tang for hire just like an adult would to get what they want, while they lambaste the stupid old horny men who will do anything, including murder, for some tender young beef.

I say she will get a free pass on her part as an accomplice to murder and then her own skanky porn site when she turns 21.

I think that in this case, the narrative automatically goes to "poor innocent kidnapped girl," whereas if it was a male running away with an older lover, I think there'd be a lot more suspicion and a lot less willingness to automatically cast them as the victim.

The letters from her to him and the 13 phones calls between them on the day of the kidnapping does raise some flags but will wait on more news. Her behavior after is strange, she was more concerned for the dog then her mom and brother but it was a dysfunctional family.

I keep coming back to this thread, waiting for some bombshell to be dropped that demonstrates she was in on the whole thing. I'm also wondering what the details were on why he was shot, instead of simply arresting him. The horseback riders apparently had no problem approaching him... why would anyone else?

I read he was shot by an HRT member. Haven't been able to find anything else about the take down. That makes me think it was more of an execution than a rescue situation. These are the guy's that shot down a mother holding her baby, nothing they do would surprise me.

There won't be any bombshells because she is not being investigated even though there is enough suspect issues to do so. It should happen for the sake of thoroughness but it doesn't appear that they are going to.

There is very little doubt in my mind that she had a consensual sexual relationship with the guy. He was obviously under the spell of her poon. That doesn't mean she asked him to kill though, its equally plausible that she broke up with him and that is why he killed her family members and kidnapped her. IF she didnt have any involvement, I think his plan was to kill them, take her, and then kill her and himself. Or maybe just himself in front of her.

I'm far more curious to know why the mom was letting him take her on road trips.

Did she find something out and put a stop to it.?

The picture was apparently taken during their previous LA trip (which is creepy in itself).

The whole situation is bizarre, from parents who sent their kid on what was intended to be a week long trip with a 40 year old guy to the calls/letters, the torture allegations, etc.

None of it makes any sense.

I think the police should look into it, but the girl must be innocent until proven guilty. The media should GTFO and not lynch her.

i couldn't imagaian letting my daughter go off on a trip alone with a 40 yr old. My first questions would be WHY? why do you want to take a 16 yr old on a trip and why a 16 yr old wants to go on a trip with a 40 yr old.
