I doubt it has anything to do with Rock band.

We need more people in our tour group! Join Sochl! All the top guys better watch out, I've gained like 1000 groupies this week it seems like. I almost have 2500 now and I'm on Xmas break so I bet I'll have over 4000 by January.

I finally beat Cult of Personality on Expert... that solo was just plain stupid.

I was able to beat cliffs of Dover and Number of the Beast pretty quickly.... but the solo on One took me out....

Also... let's not even talk about Raining Blood... if there was one song that I could take out back and put down inhumanely... it would be this one

zomg. Last night my buddy and I went through most of coop career on medium. Near the end of our session, we somehow managed to get the 100% coop achievement! So awesome. It was a fleeting feeling, but it felt awesome.

Does anyone need to get signed up for the tour group? we've fallen to 112 in the ranks here's the link: http://www.guitarhero.com/tour_groups/3747

Yeah you can do that with GH3. One of the reasons why imo it sucks compared to GH1,2 and Rock Band. The timing window is pretty huge.

I haven't played in a long time... been to occupied with COD4, Crysis, TF2, Bioshock for PC, and other Wii games.

Maybe this weekend I'll get some play in. Maybe finish Easy since I've got Medium done (except for one song I think) and I suck at Hard.

Bigger, yes... but not as big as it seems in this video. He's hitting the strum bar at least a quarter note before hand.

I haven't played in a long time either, and I see I've fallen to the second page. I stopped being concerned with groupies when my brother and I played through the entire co-op career on Hard over Thanksgiving while disconnected from Live (but still under my profile).

I was hopeful that when I re-connected that those stats would EVENTUALLY update, but they never did. That should have been somewhere between 500-1000 groupies in those few days. Between that and the fact that they screwed over people like us who bought the game on Day 1 in terms of uploading the earliest performances from the first few days, I'm now apathetic towards their flawed ranking system.

As far as I'm concerned, Rock Band is blowing Guitar Hero off the stage.

You have to register and link up your account using they key code you get from inside the online game menus. Then you can join that group when your account's ready to go.

Yup.

Register on the Guitar Hero III site that Modeps linked first, then go into the game and under the Online part, there should be a "www.guitarhero.com" option. Go there and get the key that is displayed.

Then go back to your computer and go to that Guitar Hero III website. Under your profile name and location there should be a drop-down. Select "Link Account" and follow the steps from there.

It might take a bit (within a few hours I'd say, at this point) to update the site with your in-game score.

I'm up to 4th and still climbing in terms of groupies. If I can just get passed KoC on hard (get stuck on the HO/PO section ~60% through song) then I'll only have trouble on Raining Blood and the final battle against Lou.

On Expert I'm stuck on My Name is Jonas at around 85% of the song. I think I'll get this soon though.

If you can't get past KoC on hard, raining blood is going to be a bitch for you, to be honest. That song is just annoying. You'll get it with time though. I've given up on raining blood and one on expert, the ho/pos just destroy me.

Man, I just noticed we play GH3 way too much. I'm almost doubling everyone elses groupies on the list.

I know I can already beat all the songs after KoC except Raining Blood. One might give me some trouble because I just barely scraped through the solo. Just the part in KoC where it changes to the orange-to-blue-to-yellow POs. I can't even get it with my first 3 fingers.

I play as BEAS, btw.

I think I have the most total points in Sochl but I'm not for sure.

I have 50,987,506, but I'm ranked 7th in Sochl because of the stupid groupie system.

The online scores/rankings/groupies are actually complete BS. Those of us that played from Day 1 couldn't link our accounts for the first week and 90% of those stats did not get uploaded. Look back at the first few pages to see myself, foghorn, BlackFlag, Modeps, Shadewolf and a bunch of the other originals complaining about it.

Regardless, my copy of GH3 has only seen my Xbox 360 once since November 20th, which (coincidentally, of course ) happened to be Rock Band's release date.
