Well, my brother complained about GH2 on my 360 when I got that, but I turned Game Mode on my TV (Samsung FTW) and he never complained about GH3 and I didn't calibrate the notes at all (I'd probably make it worse ).

Oh and I was able to perfect Knights of Cydonia... of course on Easy because I'm a weeny, but there were almost 600 notes! :Q I need to try to get better at medium so I can eventually head up to hard, but I'd like to at least be able to pull off 4 stars consistently before I think about moving up.

EDIT:

About the groupies, if I just play a song and lose, does that count for "Playing a song for the first time." Or is that one really, "Playing a song for the first time and actually completing it."

I believe I got groupies for trying "Through the Fire and the Flames" on Expert. You better believe I didn't pass it.

I'm back in PA with my family this weekend. My brother and I are plowing through co-op on Hard, we should beat it tonight. Hopefully when I get back to Virginia and hook my 360 back up to the internet my groupies will shoot up.

I was stuck for a long time. If you can get the two star powers before the mosh1 section and then just focus on all of the buttons except the orange one you can get passed it. After that it's cake, passed the song the first time I got passed the mosh1 part.

Got past Number of the Beast this morning. 1 down, 3 to go. Tried Raining Blood, but missed that damn star powers. Got to the normal 75% on One, activated my star power but it wasn't enough

Yeah CoP was easy after the pure hell I went through to get the other 4 done.

I'm horrible at this game. I beat it on easy, but I'm having a tough time on medium. My left pinky just won't do it.

I had the same issue, it gets easier the more you play it. My pinky is working like a champ now I just beat medium and I'm trying to move on to hard. It's going to take me a while to get used to moving my fingers around. I haven't even managed to beat slow ride yet.

I have Metallica and Raining Blood left on Expert. I get so demoralized playing those two that I can only stand to try them once or twice before I go back and try to improve my other scores.

I think I'm a weird one... I still only use 3 fingers no matter the difficulty that I play on . I call it a self-created handicap .

You'll get it eventually. These were my biggest obstacles in order of when I reached them

1) Learning to use my pinky
2) Learning to do RB chords
3) Learning to move my hand around to hit O notes
4) Still working on and making no progress: long pull offs - if its a PO of 3 or 4 notes I just flat out can't do it.

Ended up cancelling my pre-order online cause the place hadn't even shipped it. So I went to Wal-Mart and picked it up there (Wii version).

I've only played a few songs and haven't linked my profile up, but that'll change after work this evening.

Using the 3 finger method, I have no problem doing RB chords, I simply shift down one and consider them GY chords. Although half the time I hit things using the 3 finger method, I can't even tell you how I do it... my hand just goes crazy like that old horror movie Idle Hands.

POs are still kind of awkward for me, because the training is absolutely worthless in this regard. They need to give you a song with pull-offs in it rather than just nicely placed notes.

Finished Cliffs of Dover on hard yesterday. That leaves just One and Raining Blood. I've gotten real close on One.

Through about 14 songs on Expert.

"Cliffs of Dover" was such a breath of fresh compared to all the crazy speed/thrash/nu metal that comprises most of the last two tiers.
