Me either, but if they're going to basically make it impossible for me to get 5 of the songs, I just said F it and put in the code.

GH3 rumored DLC.

It looks like a pretty solid rumor. I'm not terribly anxious to support those responsible for the website debacle with more money, but I'm interested if there really is an all Foo Fighters DLC pack... if the price tag has changed from GH2.

If not, screw 'em.

Hmm I liked that new foo fighters song. Pretender. I hope this is true but if they charge for Devil went down to GA....I'll never buy another GH game again ever.

They sold them in mishmashed sets of three for 500 Live Points ($6.25 in real money).

You can see the packs here. Many people, including myself, took issue with the fact that you could only buy them in sets of three when we were usually only interested in one or two of the songs. $2 a song is already expensive in my opinion, but if you don't even like one or two of the songs, it might as well be $3 or $6 a song. Grrr...

To top it off, most of the tracks that were released were the exact same versions of the songs done in GH1, so it's not like they had to put much work into them.

If the Foo Fighters pack had Everlong I might have considered bending over and taking it and shelling out the ridiculous price they charge. Too bad...

I hope competition from Rock Band will bring the prices down

You're probably right, but I really think the sweet spot for most of the market is $1. If GH2 songs were $1 a piece, they'd probably have about $10-15 more of my money as opposed to NONE.

I would be willing to pay $2 a song if, and only if, I was also granted permission on the website to download a corresponding mp3 of that song. I know I'm probably dreaming about the price, but with MTV having a hand in Rock Band it's not the most outlandish notion that they would try to tie products like that together to generate even more revenue.

Ya I have a hunch RB dlc is gonna be 3 dollars per song or around 15 for a whole album. When asked in interviews they've always said well ya know it is much more work to code the song for our game because of all the instruments. I think that was their way of preparing us to get bent over.

I don't doubt that they have used or will use that reasoning, but I'm suspicious of it. Harmonix is the Michael Jordan developer of this genre, they probably have the transfer of a master recording to Guitar Hero/Rock Band track down to a science.

I don't know if anyone here is familiar with Frets on Fire and its user base, but if amateurs can create thousands of guitar tracks (admittedly of varying degrees of quality) using amateur tools, I imagine Harmonix has the process perfected to the point it doesn't require that much more work.

GH2 is incredible with other people, Rock Band is set to make it the ultimate party-game experience. I know a couple of my female friends are into Karaoke but are terrible at GH2, so it just fits. I'd say it's worth the $170 - probably moreso than the Wii is worth $250 - and that's been the goto party game as of late.

I totally agree. I'm gonna take it to my parents house for thanksgiving. Me and all my brothers and their family are gonna rock out lol.

Hey, our tour group is ranked 44 now, and we're on the second page of the Tour Groups section. Too bad no one can link up their accounts, so it may be just some lucky thing, but it'd be dope if we can rock out.

Really? As I beat one of them online in co-op but I don't see it in quickplay anywhere. I'll have to double-check though.

I just used the cheat to unlock those coop songs and all the bonus songs once I completed my career. Extra stuff like characters, guitars, and outfits cost so much more than in GH2, that I didn't want to waste the money I'd earned buying crappy bonus songs.
