I think they've slowly been turning off features of the site. When I first linked up almost everything was working now nothing works.

Me either, but if they're going to basically make it impossible for me to get 5 of the songs, I just said F it and put in the code.

GH3 rumored DLC.
It looks like a pretty solid rumor. I'm not terribly anxious to support those responsible for the website debacle with more money, but I'm interested if there really is an all Foo Fighters DLC pack... if the price tag has changed from GH2.
If not, screw 'em.

How many Live points did they charge for the GH2 DLC?

I expect Rock Band dlc to cost even more. They gotta do the drums and vocals too..

You're probably right, but I really think the sweet spot for most of the market is $1. If GH2 songs were $1 a piece, they'd probably have about $10-15 more of my money as opposed to NONE.
I would be willing to pay $2 a song if, and only if, I was also granted permission on the website to download a corresponding mp3 of that song. I know I'm probably dreaming about the price, but with MTV having a hand in Rock Band it's not the most outlandish notion that they would try to tie products like that together to generate even more revenue.

Ya I have a hunch RB dlc is gonna be 3 dollars per song or around 15 for a whole album. When asked in interviews they've always said well ya know it is much more work to code the song for our game because of all the instruments. I think that was their way of preparing us to get bent over.

I don't doubt that they have used or will use that reasoning, but I'm suspicious of it. Harmonix is the Michael Jordan developer of this genre, they probably have the transfer of a master recording to Guitar Hero/Rock Band track down to a science.

I have Rock Band preordered as well.
GH2 is incredible with other people, Rock Band is set to make it the ultimate party-game experience. I know a couple of my female friends are into Karaoke but are terrible at GH2, so it just fits. I'd say it's worth the $170 - probably moreso than the Wii is worth $250 - and that's been the goto party game as of late.

Quick question... can you ever unlock the coop songs for use in single player/quickplay?

Really? As I beat one of them online in co-op but I don't see it in quickplay anywhere. I'll have to double-check though.
