Watched the whole series in 2 nights (borrowed the DVD's from a friend).

Amazing. Best TV show I have ever seen.

I'm going to buy the boxed set and see the movie multiple times . . . I will throw lots of money at FF in the hopes they keep making more.

i made my own thread a second ago but what i said was basically this:

just saw the movie ->
" well i just thought id let you guys know that if you liked the series then you probably won't like the movie....
unless they decide to a different cut of the film than the one I saw "

Why not? Major character dies? Is it too condensed? Radically different? "Hollywood-ifyied?"

Why not? Major character dies? Is it too condensed? Radically different? "Hollywood-ifyied?"

I loved the series, loved the movie. Movie is darker, still funny, but dark - but I think Firefly fans (for the most part) will like it. It's not just another episode up on the big screen, the stakes are definitely raised.

to give you good specific reasons why i disliked the movie i would have to give spoilers
lets just say i didn't like how joss wrote something....and i didn't like the feel of the movie
it seemed too "Horror/Slasher" compared to what the series was...and yes i realize its a movie but i very much dislike horror / slasher films
