Yep, I flashed him and used shotgun. Got off like 4 sniper rounds, 2 grenades and 2 explosive arrows. Trying to figure him out was OK, forgot about freeze thanks. Spider lady annoying the heck out of me. How are the bosses in the later chapters? Chapters 6-10 eased up a bit and was fun. Maybe I just need a break, if I do finish it it will be out of stubborness
I'm at chapter 12 so I haven't encountered any harder bosses yet. Believe it or not I was stuck on chapter 3 boss for a while.

I took my sweet ass time on that chapter and it was fun. Only tip that I found needed was basically lay down like 4 explosive bolts for him. I stay at opposite side of ladder so I lay a trail from the ladder to opposite side and he will follow path to get to me.

Up to chapter 13, finally having fun and getting the hang of it. Sneaking past the Keeper is tense! The garage monster took couple tries but wasn't so bad, use rifle and like you said flash and freeze. If anyone interested, found some good tips online to avoid rage quit like me :p

Edit: Priority - upgrade sprint first.

1. Shoot legs to drop enemy and light em up with match. This even works on the fake Ruvik with just a pistol and 1 or 2 rounds. I have full critical and weapon sway on pistol, point blank on the headshot and it still misses. The aiming mechanics is my main complaint.

2. Fully upgrade flash bolts to 16s and sneak kill. So satisfying and save mucho ammo, wish I did this earlier.

3. Fully upgrade matches or at least 15, I did this first and its useful in later chapters.

4. I did not upgrade melee, health, syringe or weapon damage at all (except pistol critical) and I am doing fine. I would save gel for the above.

Not so bad this time.. so far! Sneak, watch him and the traps (hint: watch out right side). He kept respawning during the gas part so I know to try to avoid him and not waste ammo unless I have to, explosive bolts usually.

Oh and Merry Christmas :)

Merry Christmas to you as well. I think I'll go back and continue chapter 12 tomorrow morning. I've been playing this and dragon age but I've had fun with this game as I always want to know what's next. While annoying at times, it still is a decent game.

Def keep going. I'm up to end of Chapter 14, homestretch! From garage monster and on, its been smooth sailing. Good pacing and balance of action and stealth. It's 2AM here, should sleep but I am about to finish it.

Yea I'm in chapter 13 and got annoyed so I stopped. Ugh stupid keeper and acid traps. Don't think I have enough ammo to keep him away while I disarm. Its also a tight area too so it sucks. Hate how they just randomly bring bosses from other chapters back.

Yep, see no indication of what to do. I discovered this after two deaths, just watched him to see wtf he was doing lol

Hug the wall right in front of him and watch him. When he walks out, hug the other corner (near the red light). Dont walk into the room right side though, trap sets off alarm, creep into the room the way he walked out.

Second part when you do have to face him is easy enough. Kill keeper with explosive bolts, disable spinning chainsaws on ground with 1 electricity bolt. Kill one more keeper and run to vent.

The ending was outrageous but I am satisfied. Gonna replay :)

Yea not sure if I have enough explosive bolts yet. I guess I'll have to take him down with shot gun or sniper rifle. I realized that if you disable the trap on the right side, you can sneak and just watch him walk out that room.

Oh gosh lol twin keepers at the end I guess. Yea I'll have to use what I have on me so far. I dunno how the replay value will be since you know what happens. Besides I didn't enjoy upgrading my stats throughout the game for some reason that annoyed me.

I loved the atmosphere and sound, details and visuals. One of the best audio in a game imo if you have nice speakers/headphones. Normally I'm not too interested in leveling up with a few exceptions eg. Resident Evil 4 and Borderlands. Unlocked weapons at end and I didn't upgrade much dmg on the guns first go. Maybe not Akumu mode yet but harder difficulty I think I can handle now.

Hordes - flash and sneak kill, or drop one with leg shot and burn em. Combine that with magnum and explosive bolts for bosses, should be more enjoyable from here on. Nowhere near as many deaths and aggravating as spider lady Laura. I am going to get the brass knuckle and fire harpoon, pummel and burn that bitch and her friends the sadist and keeper :)

I finished just under 20 hours - 19h 59m 41s, 138 deaths.

I do have to say the game is a good length and kept me going to see what would happen next. My next zombie game is dying light if that gets good reviews. I may replay evil within once I finish it but I'm also replaying last of us on ps4 too so I have a ton of games just waiting to be played.

TLOU was pretty good, more cinematic than gameplay. I did it once PS3 and once PS4, will get around to the harder mode. Now that I finished it, I appreciate TEW difficulty more but just not the problems mentioned - aiming and cheap deaths.

Will check out Dying Light, thanks. Btw Walking Dead seasons on sale PSN for about $6 bucks now if you like this genre, when it does come back up.

I played up to season 2 of walking dead on PC. It may be worth a replay on ps4 for that price. Will be interested to see what they come up with the next few seasons.

I finished this today. I would say its a decent game while annoying mechanics at times. Story wise its a bit confusing to say the least. But overall I liked it although I don't think I'll play it again since I died so many times. I'll probably trade it in next chance I get but its a decent game.

50% trade bonus at Best Buy this week. $25.50 base, $27.20 with GCU. I'd take that and go with it.

Also, next week, Best Buy is doing $30 towards Dying Light with select game trades. The list of games eligible isn't known yet, but I suppose TEW could be one. It'd be risking losing out on maybe $5 in TiV (when the sale ends) to maybe get a bit more towards Dying Light, if you want it.

Just checked the video game online trade in site at best buy. Says they will give $17 but I'll try it and see if I get $27. I wanted to wait for reviews of dying light first but that deal looks good.

I didn't get the dlc for evil within. Its suppose to explain more of the story which is kind of interesting if you finished it. I won't get to it because I don't want to spoil with the theories.

The $17.00 is the base, and is all you'd get if you do an online trade. On the main trade-in page, it says that the 50% bonus is going on in-store, and the prices quoted are before that. So, you get the base, plus 50% for the bonus and 10% for GCU (meaning +60%, as the percentages are cumulative; they don't stack).

So, $17.00*1.6 = $27.20 is what you'd get in-store.

I might as well do that then. I liked the game but I don't think I would replay it. The boss fights are annoying mixed with the odd mechanics. Although it was an enjoyable experience I just don't get how a head shot can require multiple shots at times.

Yep, you were right. I'm halfway through second playthrough with almost all the weapons maxed out. Bleh, prob gonna stop playing. Less of it but still getting killed by the cheap deaths here and there. With all the weapons at your disposal, the aiming isn't worth a damn. Its like playing a FPS or other third person like GTA - we are just gonna switch the hitboxes up onto where you aim - sometimes to the left, sometimes to the right. Intentionally handicapping the player to make it difficult = stupid.

After finishing this game I replayed the last of us with the dlc and that's still my favorite game since the ps3. Hit detection is way better of course and headshots aren't really required except for clickers. That's the second time I finished the game and the remastered edition felt like I was playing it the first time. I like everything about that game and I'm curious to see what dyling light will be like.

Tried the multiplayer? Pretty fun, but dont know if its just me transferring over from PC gaming but I can barely survive for more than a minute

TLoU is simply on another level from TEW. It's just a far, far better game all-around.

TLoU is also a better 'horror' game, even though it isn't really trying to be, simply because you care about the story and characters infinitely more.

I didn't know TEW had multiplayer. I did play the mp in last of us for a bit, I was OK at it.

It also looks like there will be dlc for evil within where you play as Kidman. This should uncover some more of the story.
