Let the young ones sort it out. They're going to own it in a few years and it seems to me that they've had their eyes wide open and have been very observant of how the Repubs have managed to rake in the wins yet consistently work against the welfare of the working class folks that put them in office. They are much more tuned in and aware of the political process and what affects the climate that they have to deal with and live in, as they are much more comfortable with emerging technologies and the use of the internet to gather the information they need to make intelligent reasoned decisions. They've watched how Trump won his presidency based on hyped up GOP propaganda, reneged promises and lies with no end in sight. They'll keep this in mind and not ever forget it, especially when they're in the voting booths.
A freshened perspective is always a good thing, and the Information Age brings knowledge that, for now, cannot be as easily repressed and distorted as with owning a newspaper, or a news network. All it takes is for them to hone the acquired skill of separating the bullshit from the facts of the matter. In this regard, it works against the interests of the GOP in no small way.
The young ones see their futures much more clearly than their elders have, and thus have a much better chance at making the necessary changes to the establishment in order to give themselves a better chance at the prosperity and opportunities that have been denied their working class elders.
