Just trollin', huh?
You cannot legally possess or purchase a gun in Colorado. I'm not going to get into it any further than that statement, but it's the truth.

Sure I can. There's nobody to bust me.
Actually you should expand on it. Just because it's an interesting subject, not for the benefit of that idiot. You cannot legally possess or purchase a gun in Colorado. I'm not going to get into it any further than that statement, but it's the truth.

I didn't know gun laws were anywhere near restrictive enough in Colorado to make that statement accurate. If it is... really?
In the paperwork that you have to fill out to buy a firearm there's a question about illegal drug use. If you answer it with a "yes" then it's illegal for that Federal Firearms Licensee to sell you a firearm. If you lie on that form it's a Felony. So because he uses or possessses MJ he can't own a firearm in CO?
I'm not following.
My view is MJ ownership and use (in general)has as much to do with the right to own a firearm as alcohol use/ownership (in general) does... that is, none.

maybe with some luck and the incoming Judiciary we can get rid of the whole Federal Firearm Licensing bullshit and leave it to the States. How silly. It's impossible to prove that a recreational marijuana user was such at the time of purchase. It's not illegal for them to own guns, just to buy them retail.

Ahh, got it. Thanks. In the paperwork that you have to fill out to buy a firearm there's a question about illegal drug use. If you answer it with a "yes" then it's illegal for that Federal Firearms Licensee to sell you a firearm. If you lie on that form it's a Felony.
You're right about one thing. "How silly."It's not illegal for them to own guns, just to buy them retail.
Hillary won fewer counties than any popular vote winner, ever. She beat the previous record holder - Barack Obama - to win with only 22% of the counties nationwide. You guys have an agenda that is extremely popular with people who like to live packed in like lemmings, and relatively unpopular with everyone else.
10th Amendment to the Constitution, from the Original Bill of Rights.
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
I see nothing in there about a Federal Firearms form.
The probably has more to demographics and moving populations. As more and more people transition from rural to urban, it is a fairly easy assumption to make that the more liberal people are more inclined to be the first to go.
Regardless, counting counties means absolutely nothing. First, land shouldn't get a vote (although it does in our system). Second, there is no defined unit of a county. For example, Georgia has 159 counties, while California only has 57 (Cali's are on average 7.5x the size of Georgia's). Further 26 states have more counties than California, so should those states votes count more, just because they have a terribly inefficient local government setup?

You are ignorant of the law in this instance. According to Colorado State Law, (the State we were talking about) every transfer of firearms (handgun)at a gunshow MUST use form 4473 and the transfer MUST have the FBI background check and be performed by a FFL. It is required by law.Thank god for gun shows, eh?

According to the Law, you must be a resident of the State to buy a handgun. So is it also against the law to buy a gun in a different state?

All gun transfers, new or used must have a background check in CO, how about that, another anti gun asshole that's unaware of the laws in their own state, didn't know about the mandatory background check on all gun sales in CO, didn't know about the marijuana... probably doesn't know or understand the magazine capacity limits in CO, or the AWB in Denver.
Go go Jhhnn, toke up another bowl...
