The cat thread

We have many cat people here... this is our thread to share their hijinx.

My cats newest thing it's they stalk each other while they poo. When one is using the poo box, the other lies in wait. When the one using the box comes out, the other springs on her. Then they do speed laps around the house.

Crazy kitties

I woke up last night to the girl puking on the bed. She was conscientious enough to puke on my snus tins so it wouldn't get on the bed. Later I woke up with her on top of me getting ready to puke again. I tossed her on the floor, and went back to sleep. I had 3 new puke spots waiting for me when I got up :^/

Wow, you need to hook up with some better kitty.

Yea, the puking part sucks, but it's worth the hassle. I'm gonna miss her when she's gone. She's literally a constant part of my life. She's sees me out the door when I leave, if she's awake, she sees me when I come home. She sits in the kitchen when I cook, then sits on the chair next to me when I eat. When I go to sleep, she's either on top of me, or next to me. She's always there.

One thing that amuses me, is she's starting to assert herself after 5 years. She'll smack me lightly when I'm doing something annoying like smack her butt in time to music, or blow her fur. It's a very light hit. Just enough to say fuck off :^D Not like when she hits her brother. It's always a 3 hit combination, and a loud hiss. She hits so hard, it's very audible, even when smacking fur :^D

Mine do the same thing.

This one is crazy, even for a cat.

Yeah, my wife and I have had some isane cats over the years.

The current one seems to be more dog than cat. She's "digging holes" constantly. The vet doesn't have a clue, but she's a rescue cat, so we figure she grew up with a bunch of dogs digging holes 🙂. We love her just the same though, although she leaves us scratching our heads a lot of the time

Cats are crazy but lovable at the same time.

Edit: can't spell

Mine only craps/pisses when I'm inside crapping. Huh.

She also has the habit of coming into the kitchen whenever I'm making food, meowing at me until I feed her, then coming back into the kitchen to meow at me some more after I give her food. She also only drinks out of cups she sees me drink out of.

Snorgles for all!!! I love when she sits like this.

I don't know which one of mine is doing it, but one of them has been pulling up the edge of the quilt that covers the sofa, and tunneling her way to the middle. She's also smart enough not to get caught there when I come home or get up in the morning.

One of them loves to stick her face in my shoes when I take them off. She was sleeping in there, one time. She never does that when I have the camera handy.

One cat played dead last night. He is a seizure cat due to a head injury as a newborn and he sleeps on the bed. Last night he decided it would be fun to play dead. Due to his neurological problems it is entirely possible that he will simply wake up dead one day. About three in the morning he went completely limp and his breathing was so shallow as to be undetectable for a couple minutes. We picked him up and tried to wake him up, fairly certain that this time he was, in fact, dead. We finally tried putting him on the cold floor. As soon as his paws touched the tile, he started wiggling and looking really pissed at being woken up.

My cats are a ton of fun...the best entertainment. One is food driven and will eat anything, i can't leave food out or he will break into it. The fact that he is amazingly handsome makes up for it a little. Especially when i find him looking sweet like this....

I've only had strays for years. Here's one story:

A stray cat was like no other cat I've seen. When I'd pull the car into the driveway, still moving, the cat would leap on the hood and put its paws on the windshield and look at me. When I'd get out, it would violently insist on jumping on and climbing me. However I tried to block it it'd run around and jump. When I dropped it and quickly shut the door, the cat would climb the screen door to where it was at eye level and sit there for hours.

I'd open the front door to be facing the cat hanging there.

It didn't seem it was about food.

My cat is a good cat. No apparent insanity here, save for the occasional pouncing on a candy wrapper, or some other crinkly shit. :awe:

Every morning my cat runs down the stairs in front of me, hides behind the pompason in my living room and then runs out and "attacks" me. Adorable as hell.

One of my cats is my secondary alarm clock.
After I turn off my normal alarm in the morning if I try to fall back asleep she will hop on top of me and begin meowing until I get up.

Sounds to me like it was staring you down and winning the stance of dominance.
