I don't see anything in either thread or article proving that Hispanics don't pay taxes. And I'm not talking about just sales or gas taxes, either.
You cannot pay taxes without a Social Security Number. Illegal immigrants do not have a social security number.

Wrong. Most use a generic or fake SSN.
In order to get refunds.
Look, they use the fake SSN to get a job with an employer that will push for the ID. It's not for atruistic "look, I'm being a good taxpaying citizen" reasons, it's to get a job, period. If the employer doesn't request one, then they are more than likely getting paid cash and PAY NO TAXES. I highly doubt illegal immigrants are sending in quarterly estimated tax payments for the cash they receive. And since the goverment can't track this kind of employment relationship, the pro-illegal immigrant crowd is able to say "Look at all the illegals who file taxes! It's almost 100%". Well, duh, when you don't have a clue to the other side of the equation.
Who said I'm pro-illegal? I'm just bringing facts to the table. Facts are, businesses decided to use this pool of labor and taught them and encouraged them to break the law. Facts are, most illegals are paying taxes, and are less likely to use welfare than the average lower class citizen. I'm all for securing the borders and reforming the legal immigration system, but I'm not naive enough to think that we can deport 13+ million people, nor am I naive enough to think that many businesses and private citizens share in the blame. They hired them, paid them under the table, and taught them how to beat the system. That was wrong, too.
I'm for a serious compromise that will help us move forward and prevent further illegal immigration. Sealing the border will never be 100% effective without fixing our current immigration system. Just giving out work visas won't work either, as we need a system to allow people here to become naturalized depending on the duration that they've been here. They are gonna have to pay some back taxes and/or fines, as well as pass a background check, but those are things that they will and HAVE to agree to.
The xenophobic sillyness of "deporting them all" or "I hate Mexi-cans" get's a little old. I know you aren't saying those things, but all you have to do is read this thread to see how many people are saying those things.
Sensible discussion of this issue is what will bring us to a resolution. Not emotional outbursts and ad-nauseam spiels on legality.
