We dont need national guard on the border we have hundreds of thousands of Federal troops that live on the border now. Ft Bliss Texas has plenty of troops and they have a giant flightline for landing and taking off. Bases in Presidio, Fort Ord, CA. Just shift some troops down there a month at a time for guard duty. Dont need no national guardsman to be called up. Let them rest. It is not like the Infantry has anything to do when they are in the USA???

Funny you should mention that since I am married to a Canadian. Before we were married my wife tried to find out how to get me into Canada once we were married. The Canadian Federal Government told her they could not help her, she would first need to get approval from the Quebec provincial government. She filled out the initial paperwork and mailed it in. We still have not heard back 21 years later.
To get her into the US she went to the consulate in Montreal, filled out some paperwork and then had a physical. In the meantime the US allowed me to start bringing her posessions across the border before we were actually married. After we got married in Montreal we went back to the consulate and spent a few hours doing the rest of the paperwork and paying fees. At the end of the day her passport was stamped for permanent resident status and into the US she moved.
Well then they ARE NOT HERE LEGALLY MORON... god what part of breaking the freaking law by staying dont you get?
I dotn care if they are working and paying taxes if they dont have a VISA or a IMMIGRATION ID they are criminals and should be deported back to the slum they came from..

Ok, maybe I am at a loss, but I don't think you lose your permanent resident status if you fail to renew your greencard. I think they allow a sizeable amount of time to get it renewed. Unfortunately our country is very giving on time frames. Look it up on the net under Green Card and visas. You could be wrong on this. Your friends may still be legal but not legal to work.
They don't belong in this country. They are here ILLEGALLY. They should not only be deported but they should never be allowed to come back since as a guest they don't even have the decency, respect, or gratitude to respect the laws of this country. In that way they are NO BETTER than a border jumper. Is that hard for you to comprehend?

why dont you pull up some of the European countries immigration laws or NZ/Aus or japan.. you want tough laws and standards check those out to name a few...

i dont think americans are racist for being concerned about the immigration issue. unfortunately the issue ends up bring up a lot of stereotypes and real hatred and racism due to a lack of understanding. the reality is no one knows exactly how many illegals are here and no one knows the nationality distribution of them. sure there will be a majority of mexicans but they come from all over the world and there are plenty of good people that came to the states legally but due to varying cirumstances became illegal while they were here.
