I don't mind doing them too much... especially Southshore since it also has quests in Alterac. But you also gotta know that there's a quest in Stormwind and Badlands for Alterac... which on that note, I didn't even mention Badlands. To get that quest, you need to do one of the outside-the-instance Uldaman quests (getting the thing from the tomb)... it's the Star, Hand, Heart quest, which is good to have as it requires you to kill mobs in STV, Dustwallow and Alterac. But Southshore is usually good to do around 40-42 as that puts you at the same level as all the higher level ogres and Grel'borg the Miser (the ogre with the star in the Ruins of Alterac). Southshore is also nice if you found the book while at the graveyard in Duskwood as that provides another quest while in Alterac. Arathi isn't too bad as the biggest focus should be Stromgarde quests as they're much easier now. There will be one gray quest while I'm there, but that's not a huge deal. The only problem is that you have to remember as Alliance to get the quest from Malin in Stormwind's Mage District to talk to Skuerto. This is one of the few Talk To quests that is required to start the quest line. It leads to the super fun Trelane's Defense quest that used to be quite difficult when Stromgarde was elite.

you first go to STV like low 30s, do what you can and then go off to SoS, for horde theres a good number of quests there, then back to STV through mid 40s, i went to Hinterlands at 46 i think all of those took me past 50, i did all the tanaris quests 5+ lvls over when you get them as well, only did a handfull in Ferelas
I end up going around 32 or so to STV and only do the initial quests at Kurzen's Camp and the young panthers and tigers. I also pick up the quests at the Rebel Camp that send you to booty bay. Then at booty bay you should get the quests that you can do easily (discovering the camp, etc). Since I have lots of junk in my bank, completing the bloodstone ore quest is easy. I don't go to SoS until I have two quests from other zones: "...And Bugs" from the chef in Theramore (this is a level 40 quest requiring you to kill crawlers at the shore) and "Dust in the Swamp" to get Dream Dust from Krazek to snort

. That's the low level one you have to be careful about or else it will be gray. There really aren't many quests to do in Swamp of Sorrows for Alliance... mostly from the Draenei and the one Watcher Biggs guy. There's also one in Stormwind that involve killing elemental swamp guys until they drop a lost tome.
STV is good to go around 42 or so because of some mobs being around 45, but you probably won't run into them until you hit 43, so no worries about them being orange. Fortunately, I remember back when you had to do the Bloodsail Buccaneers quest and the last captain was a level 48... so you'd have level 43 and 44's doing a level 45 quest where the mob is orange or red to them . It took Blizzard forever to fix that. I prefer going to Hinterlands a little later because of some of the harder quests there. It's helpful having some extra levels to kill the two 50's at the Altar of Zul (for the mallet) and doing the chicken quest (you can cheat to do this one via leading the mobs away while on a mount while the chicken keeps going... I usually found the owlbeasts to be the hardest spawn for this quest). The one issue you have in Tanaris and Feralas is the split in quest levels, which is one reason why it's nice to go there later on as there's no reason to leave. Although, I really hate Feralas' later quests... as killing those water elementals is always a pain since elemental damage is unmitigated. Tanaris only has some bug area quests and the stuff in Thistleshrub Valley for high levels and they aren't too bad. You can also lead Tooga while down there (if you can find him

).
Then I'll probably do Searing Gorge and then maybe Burning Steppes (you should be around 54 when doing it as there are a quest or two that require you to be a little higher). I normally have Winterspring and Silithus left by the time I hit 60 and don't end up going to Outlands until 62.

That's a good level to go as going too early just makes some of the higher level quests harder. Especially depending on your class as "Pawn Takes Queen" is still one of the harder non-group quests to solo that I've seen. WPL is a weird zone, because you almost have to split it up with EPL to be effective. I don't touch Hearthglenn or Gahrron's Withering until I get some of the quests from LHC that involve getting things there (Davil's Libram and Redpath's Shield). Felwood is also nice to do at a higher level if you want to do things like the Shadow Hold. I made sure to get the FP to Emerald Sanctuary when I was up reading the Tome of Mel'thandris, so I don't have to do the annoying run again.

and ive always skipped Desolace, too much of nothing out there
I still find it a nice filler on a PVP server since I prefer to avoid doing a lot of STV until I'm level 40. That way, I don't have to worry about Horde as much... excluding those bored level 70s.

also if you dont allready know this, the Cloth Quartermaster Turnins give a TON of exp, if you can just buy all the cloth doing the Wool-Silk-mage-runecloth turnins gives you about 16K EXP, you can do this in all 4 major cities
Yep, I did that on my Hunter, but I haven't done it yet on my Druid. I'll have to organize all the cloth first and do it. I wish we could turn in Netherweave too... I have way too much of that crap floating around.
Leveling is just so much more technical when you know the quests
