To avoid the issues many of you faced this week, we'll be selling these 3,000 via a lottery. We'll post further details once our plans are finalized. Please note that the lottery will only be open to those with an active Blizzard Account as of 9:00 PM PDT on August 12, the time that the ?Sold Out? notice was posted.

Yeah, saw that last night when browsing the forums. I hope they do it soon though... I'd kind of like to get this figured out and done with.

I do like that they actually apologized about it though, but it's still going to be a huge bummer if I don't get a ticket when based on my timing on Monday, I should've had one :(.

lots of people i know were bitching yesterday about not being able to get them, yet for some reason all the ebay scalpers seemed to get thousands

It looked to me like $600 a piece and some include no grab bag.

How can you even buy tickets on ebay? The ticket purchasing agreement specifically states that when you show up at the convention you have to have the original purchasing credit card, not to mention the name the ticket is registered to.

The guy redeems his ticket and gives you his pass.

Ya, all of the sellers plan to take a trip to Anaheim where the exchange will take place.

This last pic show's a ring one of your group is calling a healer ring...why is that? Isn't spell power damage + healing? There's no attribute for just damage or just healing anymore is there?

It is being referred to as a healer ring mostly because of the MP5. It could be useful for a DPS caster as well I think, but there are rings out there which are more suitable for them than this one.

It's also not for every type of healer at that... mostly a Shaman healer ring. Priests and Druids prefer Spirit and a Paladin will sometimes prefer spell crit, but does also like MP5.

Those mail boots looked nice for my Shaman :D.

EDIT:

I also noticed that you have two death knights in your group. Also, have you seen the Raise Dead exploit? I watched a video on it last night with Death Knights running around with about... 20 ghouls under their command . I feel bad for the people that got destroyed by them... all the Death Knight had to do was Force Pull the enemy close to them and the ghouls just went to town like a frat boy on a drunk chick.

I haven't heard of or seen this exploit yet. I don't doubt it exists though. There are a lot of weird things that happen during beta which is pretty funny. I will have to ask a DK to perform this exploit for me next time I play because it sounds hilarious.

There's a video on Warcraft Movies with it... and I don't think anyone will be surprised to see that it's Buddhist doing it :p.

There wasn't much today and it wasn't really c&p friendly (particularly when not working with a pc).

They picked up the downranking thread I pasted earlier, listed a bunch of BS epic weapons that were said to have been given improved stats, talking about JC recipes eligible from a vendor for tokens gained from profession dailies. A lot of the rest were about zone design/graphics with a very few talent adjustments.

Here are the undocumented changes:

Death Knight

Blood

* Bloodworms: 3/3 Your weapon hits have a 12% chance to spawn 2-4 Bloodworms. Bloodworms attack your enemies, healing you as they do damage for 20 sec or until killed. (Healing amount remains the same)
* Sudden Doom now lasts 15 seconds (was 10 seconds).

Frost

* Chains of Ice cooldown has been removed.
* Icy Talons description changed: You leech heat from victims of your Frost Fever (old: your Icy Touch), so that when their melee speed is reduced, yours increases by 20% for the next 20 sec.
* Lichborne cooldown lowered from 5 minutes to 1 minute. Duration reduced from 30 seconds to 10 seconds.
* Aneurysm has been removed.
* Endless Winter has been reworked and moved to Aneurysm's position, it now requires Chillblains: Your Chains of Ice has a 50/100% chance to cause Frost Fever and the cost of your Mind Freeze is reduced to 20/0 runic power.
* Frigid Dreadplate changed: Enemies who hit you in melee have a 30/60/100% chance to become unsettled, decreasing their chance to hit for 5% for the next 12 sec. (old: decreasing their attack speed)
* Runic Power Mastery stats changed: Scaling runic power abilities behave as if you had an additional 20% runic power. (old: 2% runic power)
* Acclimation now affects the whole raid.

Unholy

* Anti-Magic Shell: Runic Power cost increased from 10 RP to 20 RP.
* Morbidity moved to Tier 1 in unholy
* Virulence moved to Tier 2 in unholy
* Blood-Caked Blade: Your autoattacks have a 5/10/15% chance to cause Blood-Caked Strike, which hits for 50% weapon damage times the number of your diseases on the target. (Was 60%)
* Night of the Dead: Hitting a target with Plague Strike or Scourge Strike reduces the cooldown of your next Raise Dead and your next Army of the Dead by 30 sec / 1 min. This effect stacks up to 5 times. (was bugged to be 1 min for both ranks)
* Desecration range component increased from 2 yards to 7 yards around the target.

Druid

Feral

* Savage Roar: Attack power increased from 25% to 35%.

Mage

Arcane

* Torment of the Weak description changed: All damage you cause to Ensared targets is increased by 2/4/6%. (old version: All damage done to slowed targets is increased by 2/4/6%.)

Frost

* Fingers of Frost description/duration changed: Gives your Frost damage spells a 5/10% chance to apply the Fingers of Frost effect, which treat your Frost spells cast on the target as if the target were Frozen. Lasts 4 sec. (old version: Gives your Frost damage spells a 5/10% chance to apply the Fingers of Frost effect, which treat your next 2 Frost spells cast on the target as if the target were Frozen. Lasts 10 sec.)

Paladin

Protection

* Divine Shield wording change: Protects the paladin from all damage and spells for 12 sec, but increases the time between his or her attacks (old: your attacks) by 100%. Once protected, the target cannot be made invulnerable by Divine Shield, Divine Protection or Hand of Protection again for 3 min.

Warlock

Affliction

* Improved Felhunter description changed: Your Felhunter gains mana equal to 100/200% (old: 50/100%) of the damage done by it's Shadow Bite ability, and increases the effect of your Felhunter's Fel Intelligence by 1/2%.
* Dark Pact: Drains 700 of your summoned demon's Mana, returning 200% (old: 100%) to you.
* Haunt description changed: You send a ghostly soul into the target, dealing 645 to 754 Shadow damage and increasing all damage done by your damage-over-time effects on the target by 20% (old: 0%) for 12 sec. When the Haunt spell ends or is dispelled, the soul returns to you, healing you for 20% of all damage done to the target.

Stop changing your icon anubis! You're confusing me!

The only part of no more downranking that worries me is how big of a waste your max rank heals are. In places where you are spamming heals, if you're waiting till the max rank can be beneficial, i.e. not overheal 75%, you don't have time to finish before somebody dies. I downrank not just because its technically the most efficient way to get the most healing per mana, but because if I always cast my max rank, 3k of it is wasted.

Hopefully they find a good way to deal with the massive mana drain it will be, maybe add more ways like the priest talent where when you overheal you at least get some mana back.

It's a holy paladin mace. You can tell since shadow priests are the only casters that can wield maces and they don't care that much about critical strike chance compared to other classes (since they can get +15% via talents).

They also fixed the 1H mace so it's not 80 dps anymore :p. But yeah, the 2H mace has 180 dps. Those blue weapons I was talking about earlier from the RoB-esque event... the 2H axe reward has 140-ish DPS on it, which puts it about equivalent to S4 weapons.

I thought Druids could wield maces? Poor moonkins always ignored. Also, that comment about 15% in the Shadow tree being the reason SPs don't stack crit makes no sense.

No offense, just nitpicking in my last minutes at work.

Only the names that were listed, didn't want to go to the next page cause sometimes heavy graphics locks up the browser.

That's cause I don't like them :Q.

Also, it makes plenty of sense when you only have two spells that can crit out of five that you mostly use and instead of wasting stats on spell crit, you can simply get a talent that raises the crit chance of said spells by 15%... yeaaaah.

Druids can wield one handed maces. That's what I use.

One of our members just posted a random video of Tuesday's run, here's Brutallus :)

http://www.wegame.com/watch/chimera_vs_brutalus/

Not exactly sure why Kalecgos trash is included in the first few seconds.

Haven't had any solid attempts on M'uru in the last week or two, lots of mains taking vacations and what have you. Dec/Jan, May, and Aug, worst months for raiding. Hitting phase 2 consistently the last time we were in, just a matter of timing on the < 10% burn call so we don't have to deal with a fresh sentinel (9th or 10th) popping as entropius emerges.

Right, of course in the tree you will take the talent. However, when you write:

"It's a holy paladin mace. You can tell since shadow priests are the only casters that can wield maces and they don't care that much about critical strike chance compared to other classes (since they can get +15% via talents)."

That part in parentheses seems to imply that if the 15% boost to MB and SW:D crit chance was not present in the tree, that SPs would in fact be interested in spell crit. Which, they would still not be. It's misleading at best, the talent has no influence on the gear selection for efficient SP DPS.

I didn't mean to imply SPs do want spell crit, quite the contrary... talent boosts or not... yeaaaah. :)

I also have an elemental shaman and no druid, and yet I mention Druids using maces and not my own, poor neglected troll shim sham.
