Well I finally turned my account back on. Checked the realms and ended up going horde on skullcrusher. It seemed to have the most early est time guilds that I could find. Haven't fully enjoyed the 2.3 patch benefits yet, but I've already got 3 chars to just under L20. My only concern so far is that many seem to have already fully moved to the second tier raid locations and I may have to try and pug the first level to finish all my attunements.

The boots off lurker are not even a sidegrade to the tabi. I wouldn't have replaced my edgewalkers with the lurker boots.

The next upgrade, boots-wise, is in Black Temple and I'm not fully sold on them not being a sidegrade.

Socketed correctly, you lose no AP and you gain a ton of +hit. BoES are more for feral druids imo... kitty power.

The only attunement you'll need is Karazhan and it's really not that hard to do. I've PUG'd it on my priest and mage so far without a problem. The easiest thing to do, in my opinion, is find a group that just wants the keys. This is easy for the 2nd and 3rd key (as it sounds like you know the details of the attunements) but the 1st isn't too bad. You can probably then get that same group to do BM.

No, it's not. I'm going to re-enchant it to mongoose, probably tonight.

It's better for warriors imo, until you can stack enough armor pen from T6 level gear.

even then is it better? mongoose gives so much, AP crit and sexy haste and from what our rogue say its always up, can stacking armor pen beat it out? im too lazy to go read on EJ and find out cause im sure someone there has done the math

what class? i know of a few guilds that pretty much just run 10 mans and grull who you coudl prob roll with eaisily when you hit 70 and ket kara attuned

and depending on your class if it beneifits from a crafting prof like say tailoring you can almost skip kara

Nooooo another Hordie on Skullcrusher.. we gots too many!!

There are still Guilds on SSC/TK - If you level a caster (say.. Lock or Spreist) and take tailoring, you'll have gear that you mostly won't even replace in SS/TK!

good to know. I'm headed into SSC tonight. the lurker boots will be a temp upgrade for me, since I'm sporting the crappy rogue boots from kara. not edgewalker.... the other ones with no agility but +crit and +AP... rapscillion boots.

so if they drop, ill take them for 40dkp or less. Still trying to get the edgewalker and the tabi's. I might grab the bracers before the boots badge wise though.

What about gloves? currently i'm using the T4 gloves. Are the other glvoes from kara better? or should i wait for the badges gloves?

Yeah. Basically you need a good bit of armor pen, and then exe is a noticeable dps increase. The math has been done over at EJs. I figured I'd try it since I have the warp spring coil (1k armor pen on proc). It was... underwhelming.

Keep two piece T4 for the set bonus, it's really good for sustained dps.

Gloves and hat are good options, since they drop in kara.

Yeah, the lurker boots are an upgrade over rapscallion. Those are just kind of awful.

I generally am not a fan of gear that doesn't have agi for a rogue. It doesn't play well with BoK for raiding.
Honestly, if you can get these for very cheap, then snag them, they're better than rapscallion by a ton.
They'll still get replaced by Nyn'jah's though 🙁

I'm just starting Kara on my 70 priest and doing some pvp on the side. How long will it take me to get geared enough to join a guild doing SSC and above?

I've set up all 10 chars, 1 of each class and a bank (which will have to get axed if they don't add new chars. Kinda sucks to leave my 6-9K gold/valuables on my other server but oh well). Shammy and lock are current highest level, played the hunter yesterday and today will be getting the mage through durator into the barrens.

It took me 6 months to get every upgrade I wanted/needed out of Kara.

I was ready to hit gruuls/mags within 3 months, though. I did go and do arenas for my swords, which helped a lot.

I'd find a friendly priest on your server who's in T5 raiding and ask them.

that totally depends on a few things random dumb fuck luck and roll hacks


we had a priest 1 run through kara in my old guild get an upgrade of pretty much every single boss. it took me 9 months of raiding kara on 3 diff chars before i saw a Rystens Lost Pendant drop, at least i was on my lock when that happened

if you can do the armory from where you are look up Zataki on skullcrusher, hes prob got what you shoudl shoot for provided hes in his PVE gear

Someone mind detailing the scoop for the current PVP/welfare epic situation. All I can tell from my short reading of the boards is half want more and the other half want it stopped.

It's not going to go away if that's what you're asking. The only question right now is if season 2 stuff will be available for honor when season 4 starts.

In any case, S1 armor is 14-17k honor a piece. 2h weps are 27k. MH+OH combos are 27k total. Caster daggers, maces, swords, etc. are 25k. Vindicator gear (S3 equivalent stuff) is 12-17k each.

An entire kit costs around 175k honor and an assload of tokens, so it's not exactly easy to get. People are just pissed because pvp club isn't as exclusive as it used to be. You don't have to do any pve content anymore to break into competitive pvp play.

this is all correct

the 2 main reason people bitch about them is this: PVPers bitched because everyone could now get decent PVP gear (Arena Season 1) for very little effort, AFK AV pretty much so that basicially everyone has it they can no longer WTFPWN people in PVP who dont have it

PVErs bitched because Arena Season 3 weps are on par/better in some cases then Tier 6 loot

other then getting new boots and wrists from the badges, and upgradeing to swords fists or maces you look alright, what else you gonna spend badges on

you need to get the exaulted shoulder enchant also

they did and some peopel had their gear taken away, most peopel didnt AFK it tho, i had 75K honor when the patch hit and just purchased it and them earned the rest of what i needed
