I did quite a bit over the weekend and some of it... well, I'm glad I'll never have to do it again!
I farmed all the specific mob drop Bind on Pickup enchanting patterns on my priest. I spent about 8 hours just on Sunday farming the Bracer - Spellpower (Bloodmaul Geomancers), Bracer - Greater Defense (Ethereum Nullifier) and Cloak - Greater Shadow Protection (Voidshrieker). It was probably a good thing that I did the Bloodmaul Geomancers in the wee hours of the morning as I would've been extremely pissed if I killed all the skirmishers, then some jackass went through and killed all the geomancers that I caused to spawn

.
I also got a couple JC designs. The Band of Shadows from the bird casters in SMV along with the good caster meta gem off the Coilskar Sirens. I just need to work on Consortium rep and I'll have the best physical dps gem

.
I also went to get Spellstrike made. Right now I just have the helm made as I'm just making the primal mights myself, but I have a bit of a question about gemming them. Typically spell damage and spell hit are your top two gems to work with ( which makes veiled noble topaz really popular ). The Spellstrike pieces have a red, yellow and blue sockets. The red and yellow obviously work with the orange Veiled Noble Topaz, but the blue does not. The gem bonus is only +6 stamina, but when the pieces have only about 12 stamina to begin with, I'm a little cautious to completely ignore it. Would it be worthwhile to do two veiled noble topazes and maybe the +damage/+stamina gem in the last slot? While I'll technically lose some +spell hit, a dead mage does no damage. It would end up giving me an extra +120 hp per piece. While +240 hp is not a lot, I only have about 6.1k hp. As a note, I'm really close to maxing out my spell hit at this point. I currently have 130 spell hit without any gems in some of my gear (spellstrike included). The pants will give me another 22, putting me at 152 with the cap being 164 if I remember correctly. I am also not using any +spell hit trinkets (like Scryer's Bloodgem) at the moment.
I got Mongoose on my Shaman's Merciless Gladiator's Cleaver finally

. The poor guy is so poor after buying his epic flying mount (up to having it on 4 characters now). Now I need around 600g to buy vortexes to get a Belt of Deep Shadow as well as another Merciless Gladiator's Cleaver that'll need another 130g of Void Crystals. The thing is... I went to Karazhan on my Enhancement Shaman ( see my awesome gear here:
http://www.wowarmory.com/chara...ml?r=Alleria&n=Darrien ) and was top damage and top DPS beating out two rogues and two hunters. The thing is, the two rogues are shadowstep rogues in PVP gear ~_~. I eventually said, "I'm not even going to waste my air totem on you guys, I'm throwing down GoA" I still had a nice 3% lead (17% vs 14% on the one rogue... took a SS but don't remember the URL) even though most of my gear is outlands greens or lower level instance blues

. Worst part was, my deaths were all because my aggro was so high

. I stopped attacking quite a few times (especially on Romulo and Julianne), but still usually died. I haven't had Ankhs for months, but now I have a nice stack of 10

.
I mentioned that I was going to 3-man the Gronns using my own characters... well, it ended up being 4 mans using my 3 and a Paladin from the guild that was interested in doing them. I first tried having my warrior on my left monitor, my shaman on the right and my priest on the laptop... well, this didn't work out so well IMO. My Shaman died on the Slaag fight from the AoE princess-like thing. Oddly enough, after awhile he never cast it again... I'm not sure if it's just because he hit a certain percentage or if he just doesn't cast it. We then went to Grulloc (the one near Ring of Blood). The first time we had some issues with healing and getting good aggro while having proper damage. He ended up resetting on me, so we had to fight him again. I switched my priest to my desktop and shaman to my laptop. I also positioned my shaman in one spot (where I would initially bring Grulloc to) and left him there. Once Grulloc grew the first time, I pulled him out toward the large brazier thing and when he grew again, I pulled him back to the initial spot where my shaman was and just hit 'T' or '1' (Stormstrike) on the laptop. We had no deaths that time and it was muuuuch easier. Then Maggoc was a giant pussy who wasn't even difficult. Surprisingly enough, I could keep windfury on my Shaman and still keep aggro on my warrior (who is Arms by the way). I could only produce around 550 TPS though... which required me to use Mortal Strike to really produce enough TPS. My tanking order became MS, sunder, sunder, sunder, sunder, sunder, MS. I also had some revenges in there, but essentially, Mortal Strike became my Shield Slam, except it costs 10 more rage

. It'd be interesting if they made Tactical Mastery also lower the cost of it in defensive stance ( it currently raises the threat of MS by a lot ).

Well I figured out what screwed up my saved data last time as it did it again last night. On my vista 64 machine I did the quick exit from wow (log out in a rest area then do a double ESC). This caused a BSOD shut down (which happened the last time) so I logged back on and saw the same indications as last time. This time I didn't use this bad data to overwrite the other comp so other than losing auction scans, mob data, and bag updates for the day I won't have lost anything unlike last time.
Disable the auto-restart on error and you will get to read it to see what's happening. It's probably "Page Fault in Non-Page Area." You should also be able to check it in the System section of the Event Viewer.
