If it was really stretched everything would be extra-wide, so that's why I say I'm pretty sure it isn't. Otherwise you really just need to compare 4:3 to a 16:10 screenshot and see how they adjusted it.

Eh I'll look into it tonight but I'm pretty sure it's not stretched. Either the vertical FOV is cut off so that the horizontal is the same or the horizontal FOV is increased and the vertical is the same.

I'm pretty sure it, I know it doesn't look right on Eye infinity displays for sure.

Yes, there are tracer darts unlocked at level 11 (the highest level attainable in the beta).
I can't say for sure if they work with the apache's missles. They work with the hand-helds.

do you have a rig capable of playing the beta?

get a key here - just sign up for the free acct, log in and watch it at the beginning of the hour - any hour, refresh the page and you should be able to get a key.

Pretty sure this is a balance thing, same reason the view through the sniper scope is a bit sketchy. The main tank view has a low of bloom to make it hard to see, the UAV has an interesting "visual echo" effect and the sniper scope has a dirty look with chromatic aberration. I think it's a good way to balance the game, provided people can't get an advantage by just turning down graphics settings.

I like the jungle/forest areas and always liked those in games. Tons of places to hide and sneak up on people and hide from vehicles.

I just remembered where I read that - it was at post #1 in this very thread:
AH64 - Apache Attack Helicopter Source (video). More info: "Gunner gets a tracer dart and pilot gets a hellfire that locks on tracer dart vehicles"

It could be of course that the hellfires will only lock onto the gunner's tracer, and not onto the tracer darts from infantry pistols.

Edit: I think that may be the strategy guide. Eitherway likely a mess up with B&N's website, so I'm not going to try it.

It is GameStop's policy that you cannot cancel your pre-order after you get a beta key from them. I haven't heard of anyone testing them out on this policy, yet. Source.

A couple of keyboard tips for the PC beta:

• Double clicking your forward key will make you run, without holding the defined run key.
• You can lock-in crouch by crouching, then hitting a text chat key, then hit enter to remove the chat box. You will be locked in crouch. Just hit the crouch key again, or the jump key to stand back up.
