I haven't had any crashes on Dragons teeth and many of the problems I had with the game have been solved. I still want the scope to point where I am shooting rather than rocking side to side but beyond that the game is pretty much working as it should have done on release. I haven't played CTE in a while because I have been happy with the retail game, I want the HUD changes and the scope sway and other changes as well but its all coming soon. CTE has been a very good thing for the game, although it was way too late that DICE started to listen to the complaints.

I dont see any reason why Dragons Teeth would be any more or less stable than any other part of the game on your machine, thankfully the entire game runs like butter on mine.

I would guess that the CTE is dead because the "netcode" and most other issues have been fixed, I dont know what more they could be working on at this point.
Well the naval assault maps were plagued with a heartbeat type rubber banding every few seconds.

Only played a few games, one map was sniper heaven. Fuck that. There was another in a market, that looked more promising.

I played more last night on lower population servers and it was much more enjoyable. 64p feels like chaos on most of those maps. Constantly getting blind sided and having captain kirk beam in behind you and kill you from the corner you just checked. 32p feels a whole lot better.

I agree. These maps definitely aren't made for 64p. They should limit them like they did the CQ maps in BF3

IMO 64 is too many for almost all the maps (possible exception for some of the big Armored Kill ones in BF3). I think the experience is way way way better with 24-48 players, full stop.

The more I play the new maps the more I dislike them, worst DLC yet for BF3 or 4, IMO. Ive tried every game type on them except Rush, maybe it will be better, but so far its a dud for me.

😡

I have preferred 32 player server in general for months playing BF4. 64 is just too many, you often find yourself fighting 4+ people instead of 2 and there just aren't enough bullets in the gun to survive.

Market is particularly crazy with 64 players, I really dislike it that big.

Pretty much what will happen when the primary map design focus is for 32 player limited consoles....and then all the PCers decide that 64 player metro and locker is awesome cause you can throw 2 grenades in 5 seconds before you die and get 10 kills...really ups your score per minute.

Agree about Market, Propaganda isn't so bad and Sunken Dragon is my favorite of the maps but 64p does seem excessive for these maps and usually i prefer 64p.

Anyone know the quickest way to unlock the Unica and the Deagle? I am still using the sw40 and in pistol/knife matches which i love and this pistol is suddenly awful in comparison.

Getting the unica is easy. Just hang out on sunken dragon in the water. Find a high ticket conquest server for it and you should be good.
The unica sucks. I just had to grind it out on a pistols/knife for 3 hours last night to get the 20 headshots.

So the new maps do not sound like my cup of tea, and I refuse to pay for content I don't want, but this seems to mean that I cannot play on servers where they have these maps in rotation? Even if they are not playing one of those maps currently?

Propaganda is a really nice map and it's large enough for more than 32.

The thing I don't like about that map is that you can pin the other team back to their spawn and there's no hope of getting out. Similar to Metro. I know there are some other maps that are like this, but for the most part, maps allow the other team to get out and try and take an objective

Im fairly certain you can join any server that is currently playing content you do own, but you will get kicked if the next map is from DLC you do not have access to.

I noticed that almost immediately, but haven't run into a game where it's happening yet. I really like the design of 3 bases separated by a fairly large road (with some cover) with 2 bases on the other side.

I swear every round I've played on the DT maps my team has just gotten rolled. I've lost 13 out of the last 15 rounds, and it probably is about like that since it came out. Once you get pushed back the rape fest never seems to end as there is no room to maneuver, and the smaller map means the opposing team can react quickly if you do make it out to cap a back flag.

I just don't think the DT maps are good conquest maps. I like them on rush and the chain link game mode is interesting, but can turn ugly real quick because of the same problem of being pinned in spawn. I'd be curious to play these maps on obliteration, but it seems that not a lot of people like that game mode.

Well now that my son has only the basic game I see that there is an issue with joining a server with different DLC's in rotation. He can join sometimes but at other times not, even when a base game is currently being played. 😵

Sooo.... now Im looking out for a deal on Premium for him.

Bleh, clearly I need to play on a pistol server and tank my stats to get 19 more headshots with that revolver just to unlock the Deagle.

And the CS5's unsuppressed velocity is so awful, it's actually comical.

After grinding out to unlock the Deagle, I can say it's not worth it. It's not that good of a pistol on the run. I prefer the 1911 just because it fits my style. But I will say there isn't anything more satisfying than sneaking up behind somebody to headshot them with the Deagle

It goes on sale about every other month on average. Probably more often as the game is getting older. Don't know if you're on reddit, but premium sales are nearly always posted in /r/battlefield4

I disagree, I think the .44 Deagle, as it is right now, is amazingly powerful, and is my go-to, replacing all of my kits' sidearms.
